on OUR time ... butt she can still recite 1969GL that was her FURST ever telephone number... and there was NO DIAL on the phone, in Detroit.. you just picked up the thingy and said 1969 GLadstone.

toddle waddle inch FLASH forward to November 2014... SHE got a Burr up her butt... and Went
Kicking and Screaming into the Modern World... SHE gotted a Smart Phone... and had the Land Line Ported over to it... and POOF... No more Land Line on this hill.
HERE it is..... on the Bidness side...
HERE it is on the BACK which we had MOM be SURE to get a GOOD STURDY Protector (in our favorite BLUE color) fur.... beclaws Everybuddy knows that She KILLS stuffs... like the STILL BUSTED i and #1 key... and the Long list of keys with NO NAMES...
It has BEEN a CHALLENGE fur US.... to teach her stuffs like how to take a pawper... SELFIE
and that she could even add a border around one...
OMD the OLD FOSSIL is outta the DARK AGES....
BUTT WAIT...... THERE's MORE....

Our Mom too !!!!! she hated giving up her little 'chocolate' flip phone, It was small and thin and fitted in her pockets but now she has a smart phone and it is big and doesn't fit well in pockets and she doesn't like it at all. She can barely do much more than answer it and even that caused problems to begin with :)

My mom has had a smart phone for a while, but she hates it and she is scared to disconnect the landline, so we still have one of those.

Congrats on movig you Mama along guys....we are sure she will catch on. Our Daddy works with pooters, so he is always the first to get new "toys". Mama just waits for him to get new toys and she gets his hand me down smart stuff...

Uh oh, Lena's left the land line... your mum is a braver lass than this one; I just has one of da 1990's (fur emergencies only) wireless phones. I don't even like using landlines all THAT much. Thats so funny, !!!!!!!!!!!!!!, Dad upgraded like just two years ago, said "I don't need that Crap".....well guess what, he knows how to edit photos with, talk on it, read and send emails, see gmails, show blogger pots to others, ETC. Parental Unit is getting the itch to trade in her ancient IPhone 4S for the 6 plus. It's makin' her feel like an old fuddy-duddy!

We don't have a smart phone but haven't had a land line for many years. We hope your mom enjoys learning all the fun things she can do with her new phone.
We still have the land line cause Gpa likes it and doesn't want Ma to gets rid of it! Also, she has a DSL line that she rarely uses on it, so a back up is always good. Anyhu, Congrats on gettin' one of those smarty ass phones!!! Ma likes her's I guess, butts hers has a small screen and isn't good for nothin' interestin'.
I keep tellin' her it's time to upgrade, butts she justs pffffft's me!

Well you guys is one up on me. My mom still has the dumb flip phone. Says it fits better in her backpack fur hiking and she will not gibs it up, oh no she will not.
