Parade...

While we were at Sarge's house... we went to ERIE Pencil Vane E Ah  to watch a HOOOOGE parade. It was fur Memorial Day... and also to celebrate the 200th Anniversary of the Battle of Lake Erie... where Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry said....   We have met the enemy and they are ours.

We have 87 bazillion pictures and will just show you a couple today... and spread them out...  This is US..... resting a bit and WAITING fur the Parade to start.    It started at 1:00 and went on for THREE full FUN FILLED HOURS...

THIS is just ONE of the HOOOOOOGE Balloons that we saw...   Scooby Doo.
the Peeps in BLUE shirts had him on Walkin Strings...  and they had to bring him down VERY LOW to get around and under the traffic lights...   It was SOOOOO exciting.       Look how many peeps it took to walk him... and you can't EVEN see the ones on his OTHER side...
Here is Snoopy going back UP into the air.

Now THIS is the Wells Fargo Wagon...   It was pulled by two REAL HORSES...    butt beclaws of the BIG BIG crowd we couldn't get close enough to get a grrrreat pic...
we wanted to put this up to remind you about helping the animals of MOORE, Oklahoma..HOP ON BOARD the Wagon ...   and help those in need.     You can go to Susie and Sidebite and get the Details about doing that... by clicking      HERE           In the Musical  called the music man ... there is a SONG about the Wells Fargo Wagon.
there were 87,000  FLOATS in the parade too.   Many of them had TALL SHIPS  and the Parade's Theme       Don't Give Up the Ship            See the PRETEND ship's Sails???
THERE were Bazillions of peeps lined up along BOTH sides of the street... for like 87 miles...    Lots of them stopped to talk to Ernie and me.        They all LOVED our No Walkin Wagon... and how well behaved we BOTH were.       One man even wanted to share his Roast Beef Sandwich with us... butt we told him that we had our String Cheese and Water in the cooler.
Now there were 9 of those BIG Balloons like Scooby Doo...  and we WILL show them to you in a couple of days...
THIS was an amazing parade... Mom and Dad both say that they liked it MORE than when they went to see the Macy Parade in New York City..  and the Mardi Gras Parades that they saw when they were in No More Leans.

Wowee! What a parade! Horses and giant floating dogs? Doesn't get much better than that. Your watching spot looks fantastic. Plenty of shade and a comfy chair to boot.

Wow, you got to see Scooby Doo?! He's my idol! How exciting. Momma was happy to see the pawesome Wells Fargo stagecoach. Did you know that there are only FOUR original coaches left in the whole world? She got to ride in one to her college graduation, because she went to a school that Henry Wells founded. Pretty cool!

That was a HUGEMONGOUS Scooby Doo... wonder how big the Scooby Snacks are??!

We had never heard of the Battle of Lake Erie... But our mom doesn't like American History.. that is our dad's area... and Reed seems to like history a lot, too... We don't know where he got that from.. Mom's been trying to get him out of it and start liking math instead.
