Awwww, robins have the prettiest eggs! We found one broken perfectly in half and Mom was gonna save it and put resin in it and make a ring and she put it in her purse to "save" and, you guessed it! She CRUSHED it to smithereens! Ha. A baby bird can open it from the inside without crushing it to pieces, but Mom can't even take care of it for 5 minutes without smooshing it. Good thing she's not a bird mom!

Guess you didn't get to see the baby, huh?

Did you ever read the story "Are You My Mother"? It's about a baby bird who hatches while his mother is away and then walks around trying to figure out who his real mother is ...be careful Frankie that baby robin may be confused and think YOU are his mother!

Your pal, Pip
