The BUG was Wrong

Do you remember when I posted about this guy??? The Locust/Cicada was WRONG this year. He predicted that there would be a FROST here by Sept. 22nd.. Here it is October 3rd. and even though the 90 degree days ended fur us on the 24th... we STILL have not had any frost.


I'm pretty happy to have the temps Down a BIT... butt I am not ready for Frost so I am pretty happy to say Pbbbbbbbbt to you Bug Brain.

It was quite chilly here this morning, but we loved it. Not quite a frost yet, though.

Weather predicting bugs, Pawesome!
Here, it is based on those fuzzy orange and black caterpillars. The length of their banded stripe determines how cold the winter will be!

Yesterday it was 93 here in Southern Oregon. Today it is 72! What a difference!

We hope that we have a VERY LONG Fall this year. Last year on Oct 1st we had a bad freeze that no one was ready for, so alot of peoples pipes burst!

Here we don't get snow of freezing temps during winter... and I am happy with that... but sure I'd like to have now days not has hotter as they have been!

That is one ugly bug! I'm glad he was wrong. I don't want any frost here either. Soooooooo not ready for winter.

Besides the white frost on Schatzi's face & paws - we did have some on our pool deck the other morning! Brrr! A sure sign of colder days to come!

We hope the cold takes a long time to get here too. It will be our first real cold winter and we are not fans of wearing those darn sweaters...

Flash, Alven and Dottie
