The furst dachshund was Patty Cake. Next came Pretzel von Schnitzel and Gretel von schnitzel (Pretzel's daughter). Then came the FLEET... Baron von Schnitzel and his twin brother Sarek and the LOVELY LADY Duchess Lisel von Schnitzel. Lisel was the boss of the "boys" and she took that job very much seriously. All of those dawgs were short haired. Pretzel and Gretel were brown, Patty Cake and Baron were black and tan. Sarek was tan with lighter tan markings in all the right places he was registered under the unusual color type..called Wild Boar. When the last of the FLEET (Baron) crossed the bridge the people said NO MORE... They felt that the world had gone black. They said, We can't take the pain and loss NO MORE DAWGS. That lasted about 87 seconds. Within four days Frankie Furter came to live with the two leggers and the light came back to their world again.
In that special room there is something from every Dachshund. It makes the two leggers both sad and happy to go in there. Mostlly very happy. They have shared their lives with seven special dawgs for more than 30 years.

What a great post. Beth said she can relate to that. In her case it's Newfoundlands....Taylor and Samuel were here before me and she and Mike had said the same thing --no more! But it took them 1 1/2 years to find me and Beth said it was worth the wait!
I, too, really like their names! Seems that you got lucky and got this picture to write about. A great story.

That's a very good story Frankie. I'm glad your parents changed their minds about getting another doggie and got you - I love to read your stories.
Your post confirms what I've been thinking all along. The tag game is not only fun but important. I love hearing about your past, your predecessors, how you came to your home only four days after "no more" :) Great story, Frankie

Frankie,
you are such a lucky little man, I have had the pleasure of seeing your very special room, and the photo does not do it justice, Your Human Mom should take a photo from the door way, so we can all see the wonder of this special place,
I was also lucky enough to meet a couple of the dear dogs that have crossed the bridge.
Lovely story Frankie, brought back some wonderful memories of when I first met your humans, You are one very lucky little dog.
Much love

That's a nice story Frankie. Mom says you always have to get another because it would be a shame to waste all that knowledge the ones that came before us taught the stupid 2 leggers.
your pals, M&M
I tried this once, but the doggie bloggie didn't seem to work...so here it goes again. Maybe you'll get this comment twice.
Great story, Frankie! I have been in this room many times. For some reason, my handlers sometimes leave me in here and don't let me out. This is strange, but the room is still way pawsome! Great memories and lots of doggie stuff. I just can't figure out why they sometimes put me in here while they all go have fun. :( Oh well, thanks for sharing, Cousin!
Grrr and Woof,
Sarge
