Today is 09/09/09

On the train was this mail box. It is the LAST mobile post office in the whole U.S.A. I had mom buy post cards and mail them to Jim the Grinch Guy and my friend FawnTell. Mom had trouble writing them because the train was rocking and rolling. I know that they will be very much surprised when they get these in their mailbox.
This is MY train car. We got it all to ourselves because they treat DACHSHUNDS special. Some of the people in other cars were not happy that we had all that room to ourselves. hehehe

This is me getting on the train. I think dad was afraid. I had trouble getting him on. I finally had to LEAD him on and show him that we were supposed to go into car number 64.

This was the conductor. He took our tickets and stuff.

This is another interesting thing that Titusville is famous for. I thought football fans might be interested in reading the road side marker about the Heisman Trophy.

I had the best time ever in PA. We did some things that we had never done before. The best one was going on that grrrreat train ride.
Two days before we went to Titusville I had stopped at my furend's store to buy bones. Woodie has the best ones ever. Woodie is a chocolate lab. He has lots of people that work for him in his store. Woodie was upstairs selling stuff to people and was just too busy to visit with me this time. Butt... I did meet some very nice new people who live in Youngstown, Ohio. They were going to their summer cottage along French Creek, they said. We told them goodbye and never dreamed we would ever ever see them again. BUTT... at one of the train stops people were getting on and they were complaining about the fact that WE had a whole car to ourselves and they were all crowded up. One man asked the conductor why that was. Mom held me up and said it was just for dachshunds. That is when my NEW Youngstown friends said..."Hey, Frankie, Frankie Furter, do you remember us? We met you two days ago." My sister Lori was STUNNED. She almost fell off her seat. Lori just couldn't believe that someone would know me when we were all that far away from home. hehehe I keep telling her that I have lots and lots of friends. Maybe NOW she will believe me. he he he hehehe
Titusville is where the very first ever in the whole wide world... OIL WELL was drilled. That happened 150 years ago. They call that area "The valley that changed the world."
I will tell you more about all of this stuff in the next few days. Right now I have to get outside and do some much needed work. Well, right after I have my morning nap. hehehe
I brought some bones back for my new friends, Bacall, Atticus, and Austin J.. They sent me some grrreat treats in return. I am going to have mom take some pics of me with these super snacks. I'll post them for you in a few days.

Hey Frankie! Sorry I haven't been around much, I got really behind when I was sick and we are working hard to catch up on blog posts. Problem is, whenever it gets to a manageable number they seem to multiply over night! Anyway, I read through all you escapades and it looks like things have been very interesting for you recently. Have you ever figured out anything about the green monster? I was wondering how it smells. That should tell us something! Looks like you had fun on the train. I would be like your dad and scared to get on I think.
I wish you could go for a walk with me too! That would be great fun!

Oh, I left you a note a couple weeks ago about Lori and her surgery. Did you get it? I was wondering why she isn't a candidate for Lasik.
