Yesterday was Woody Wood Splitter day...

Well guess what??? Last night on the news.. the weather talker guy said that THIS WEEKEND we will prolly have FROST... THANK goodness the wood splitter arrived Yesterday.. See those Blue Gloves and this nice stack of wood?? My mom did THAT and those are HER gloves...

Here is the FAMOUS and MUCH LOVED Wood Splitter... It was MADE by our neighbor... Jim the Grinch Guy... SERIOUSLY... he made it from Bull Dozer pawts and other stuffs... He is such a Clever guy!!

THIS is a picture of the wood that was waiting to be split... being kept dry under blue tarps.
My dad... in the background and Jim the Grinch Guy in the red plaid shirt... are lookin at what needs to be done.. That shed thingy is our Wood Shed... Do you see the deer antlers that dad put up on the top... they are almost over Jim the Grinch Guy's head. hehehehe
That is MY 4-wheeler on the Left... I LOVE THAT THINGY, Let me tell you. So once Jim the Grinch Guy made sure the Wood Splitter was gonna START... after a Year Long Sleep... He went home and Mom and Dad went to work. They got almost Half of the wood split and stacked. THEN it started to sprinkle. So they had to stop and move the 4-wheeler and drag the Big Tarp back over the rest of the wood.
That is the Bear that Angel Baron gave my mom fur his Last Mother's Day pressie Ever.. She Loves it and keeps Yard Flags all around it and a Pretend Cardinal and a pretend Blue Jay. She even has lights there too. The wind was blowing so you can't see the flags... ONE has ME on it!!!
Don't worry... I stayed WAY back from the wood working stuffs... I was under the DECK... WATCHING and gnawing on my Deer Bones... hehehehe... WELL, Somebuddy HAS to supervise, RIGHT???
Today mom and dad will FINISH splitting and stacking and dad will hook the wood splitter up to the back of his truck and.... Back down the road it will go.. to Jim the Grinch Guy's house.
And THEN we will be all ready fur Khyra's Favorite time of the year... Snowman Season.
Filled Freezers... Shelf after Shelf of Canned Veggies and Pie filling and Grape Juice ... Plenty of Deer and Lots of Wood to keep us WARM.

My mum loves the idea of wood fires - but dad dad is not into all the work of gettin' wood, choppin', storin' - (he is soooo lazy). Not to mention the big spiders that will live and breed amongst it all. So we put solar panels on and now press a button for toasty warmth! See - L-A-Z-Y !!

Glad that your snoopervisin' is appreciated!

Wow, there is never a dull day at your place, Frankie. Do your humans ever have a day where they just do nothing? That is a lot of very hard work. Bet they all slept well last night.

Snow???? Oh yes, we are ready here too.

My parents used to have a woodstove. I'd have to help stack wood every year and carry it in during the winter. While I appreciated the heat, I didn't appreciate all the hard work it took to get it. (Yes, I'll freely admit that I'm lazy!)

You're sure to stay nice and warm this winter.

You guys are gonna be so warm this winter......

I think you have it right though. Under the porch chewing on a bone....Now that is my kind of work.

We're having an AMAZING week of blue blue skies and REALLY warm sunshine. It's nicer as we stare October 1 in the face than it was in July and August.

I'm making the most of the weather. Not in any hurry for snow.

Cuddling up in front of a crackling fire on a snuggly blanket sounds good though.

Stay cosy

Mom and Dad stack wood at our house too for our wood stove, but they buy commercial grade presto logs. something about how it's easier on Dad's back. apparently he used to split logs when he was a LOT YOUNGER, he says those days are OVER. we don't get as much snow in Puyallup as Mom would like. If we're lucky it'll snow 2 times. we do get a lot of rain....sigh...
