FRANKIE!!! You got us GOOD! My poor mama has passed out from surprise and the poor thing is out cold. Do you happen to have any smelling salts or maybe I could use one of those foods on the list? My mom would never be brave enough to eat any of those things so it might just wake her up!

Frankie!! I think our Mommies must be related. She gota a cast iron tummy too but she ain't never ate Opossum, Muskrate or Groundhog. But she loves tree rats with red-eye gravy and biscuits but she ate that when she was a little girl. Does your Mommy got a recipe?.

Wow. Um. Your Mom ate all that stuff? My Mom has eaten some weird stuff (sea cucumber, the animal in conch shells, and pretty much anything that has ever found itself in an ocean), but nothing like that!
BTW, sorry we haven't been visiting lately. Mom's been 'busy' and Dad's been busy AND sick (which means Mom is even busier!), so we haven't had much bloggie time. We have forgotten you, and we'll try to get back as often as Mom will let us have the computer!

She ate squirrel!!! Oh My No, that's just wrong, LOL. From that list I've eaten bear (yucky), deer and elk (both too gamey for me). I'd try quail but would take a pass on all the others. Although, I hear that possum and muskrat "taste just like chicken." ;-)

She certainly is from sturdy stock. There were a lot of things on that list that I wouldn't even try, and I'm a DOG. (OK, I'm a very picky eater for a dog, it's true.) Here's our question, though: Do they all taste like chicken?
Gracious Mr. Frankie, we think your mom is super-duper curr-age-us to eat all those kinds of things! My mom says she didn't even know you could eat a snappy turtle. Did your mom LIKE the taste of all those things? I know I wouldn't mind tasting a skwirl, but I don't know about bears and possums!

Well, I haven't eaten land animals for 33 years -- except for several instances. One included a taste of alligator (nothing special, me thinks), and crickets (crunchy and make for a tasty salad!), and conch.
You have been quite adventurous!
