My Christmas Story... by Frankie Furter

It was a Dark and Snowy Christmas Eve. Santa Paws was having a terrible time getting around to all of the good little fur folks' houses. His sleigh was overflowing with stuffies and bully sticks and Milkbones and un-stuffables and rope toys and balls and bones. He was never ever gonna make it to everybuddy before morning.
Alien and Sallie Marie and Indiana had stopped in at our house fur a nice warm bowl of milk and some meatballs in cheese sauce. My WIVES.. The Beautiful Penny and the Ravishing Ruby had made them from there famous recipe. They are the bestest cookers ever.
We were All watching Santa Paw's Progress on the news and could see that it was gonna be a real struggle fur him what with snowflakes the size of squirrel eggs comin down like rodent busters.
We gulped down the last of the meatballs and licked up the cheese sauce and began to PLAN.
It took about 87 seconds fur us to come up with a stratagy.
While Alien rushed off do modify his Space Craft... using secret technology, Sallie, Ruby, Penny, Indiana, and I set up a howl fest to lead Santa Paws to us. We used our high pitched (not fur two legger) tones that we carefully... SING CROW NIZED. We knew that it would be able to easily penetrate the delHOOOGE of giant falling flakes.
Alien worked like a squirrel chasing fiend and finally had his space craft ready... if only Santa Paws could get this far.
SUDDENLY... we started hearing Sleigh Bells Ring.. "we were listenin"... and then we heard
HO HO HO..... MERRY CHRISTMAS
And then POOF Santa Paw's sleigh landed right on the end of Ruby's Tail... Once we got that taken care of... ... We told Santa Paws that we would keep his reindeer safe and fed until he could come back fur them. Then Alien put a force field around Santa and his sleigh and they took off to deliver goodies and fill stocking fur all the good little fur folks ALL OVER THE WORLD.
The Wives and I fed and watered the Reindeer then took Indiana and Sallie back inside to wait. In about 87 minutes we heard Alien's ship and Santa Paws' sleigh land again.
We looked out. The sleigh was TOTALLY EMPTY.
Santa Paws and Alien came in and we all had some more Warm Milk and Cookies (that the three ladies prepared). When we finished... Santa Looked out and Laughed then said that the snowstorm was letting up and that he believed that he would be able to harness up the Reindeer and make his way back to the North Pole. In the blink an eye he was out the door and ready to take off.
Ruby, Penny, Sallie Marie, Indiana, Alien, and I all went out to wave goodbye.
Indian said that he was glad that we had been able to save Christmas.. fur everybuddy Else.
The wives suggested that we go back in and warm up by the woodburner, before everybuddy had to leave.
You will never believe this pawt... when we got down to the warm cozy den... there were about 87 pressies all wrapped and sporting tags. We were stunned. How did they get there???? Santa Paws was never even out of our sight We KNOW his sleigh was EMPTY when he landed. There were pressie packages fur every single one of us. SIGH The End

Good Gravy, I was just glued to my seat ... good thinking using your high pitch howl (not fur two leggers). I sure hope Ruby's tail is OK - I hear sleighs are heavy.

Your pal, Pip

P.S.: It is always important to finish the meatballs and lick up the cheese sauce before embarking on important missions!
