Here is how it works.... if it is SUNNY and NICE... the ground hog SEES his Shadow and it SCARES him Back in his HOLE.... and Means that there will be SIX MORE WEEKS of WINTER... BUTT if it is dark and Rainy Or SNOWY.... NO Shadow.... and THAT means that there will only be 42 more days of Winter...
Now the mostest Famous of ALL Ground Hogs lives in Punxsutawney Pencil Vane E Ah... which is about an Hour or so South and East of our home here in the Flat Lands of Cooperstown.
BUTT ... "REST" assured WE are not gonna go there to See if He SEES His shadow or NOT... beclaws we REFUSE to get UP an Hour Before the Butt Crack of Dawn...
We will just STAY IN BED and hope that it is DARK and RAINY (not Snowy) when the guy gets outta his hole to check.
