Follow ME (Frankie Furter) and I will show you...
We plant our corn in short rows... East to West... so the westerly winds will help the Tassels to spread the pollen to the baby cobs... the Pollen sticks to the corn SILK and goes down to the tiny kernels of corn.... and make them GROW... do you see that little SHRUB like thingy on the bottom right??? THAT is what is called a VOLUNTEER tomato... we didn't actually PLANT it... the thingy just came up on its OWN...
NOW back to the CORN.......This one is just starting to spread and unfold... ready to let the Pollen be taken to the Silk...
Cool how this all works.... it sort of lights our fire...
PEE S..... this is IMPAWTANT... do you have your Fractured Fryday Hairy Tail (FFHT) written yet?
Murphy and Stanley gave us the thingy that needs to be included...
When I opened the box, I was Startled to find......

It can be written in any Format YOU chews... Story... poem... Reality Fantasy... FUNNY SAD... SCARY... what EVER turns your creative juices on...
Now if you are gonna do one.... and WHO ISN'T.... please let Murphy and Stanlye KNOW... We gave you a link above...

It IS all amazingly wonderful how all the garden stuff grows. The Master Gardener sure knows what he is doing.
Blessings,

You two weenies need to open your own store. Your garden is so creative. Mommy remembers when her was a little thing, her Grandma used to plant corn and all those other goodies. Butt that's where the green thumb stopped. (Pigeon Poop)
We enjoyed your garden tour. We're going to check at the local farm market to see if there's any corn on the cob yet. We don't have a vegie garden right now, but we do have a pear tree. This morning an evil squirrel stole one. Grrrrr.
Wow... you really know a lot about corn. Enjoyed learning about it, but we've never eaten it... think we'll give it a try.
Have a great day.
hugs, Bugsy and Knuckles
Mom is going down memory lane reading your post because her granddaddy use to plant lots of stuffs and teach her all about it too. She says she can taste that sweet corn and may go to the Farmer's Market this afternoon to see if she can find some :)
PEE S I have really been staying on top of mom about our Friday post ... we'll let the doods know we are gonna be pawticipating!
Mom said her mouth is watering thinking about that corn! She was surprised to come home yesterday and be able to pick a few tomatoes. She said they were the best ever! Mom also checked that "We Are Blogville" post and there were 60 links! WOW!! Thanks for the FFHT reminder. We are posting one tomorrow as well as adding it to our sign off.
Your Pals,
Murphy & Stanley

WOWSA!!!! That corn is pawsome guys!!! I hopes you guys don't get lost in all those corn stalks!
I loves me some corn...and I heard that sometimes peeps hand pollinate the silks just to be sure they got it (seems like tons of troubles when you can just let the wind do it, like yours!)

Amazing corn story! I'm a city dog, so corn is really just in the store in my world. I like how you've thought out what direction to face the rows so the wind helps. Brilliant!
Love and licks,
Cupcake
Don't forget to remind the corn to turn the tassells over to the other side when they graduate. Very important!!! :)
