NO.... we are NOT getting out the Snow Freaks....
We are starting to do the Winter FOOD preservation thingys... and the FURST to be CANNED are...
THE GREEN BEANS.....
WE had mom and dad go to the garden and pick 87 bazillion green beans... and then WASH and Snap them... and put into Clean Jars... with the special Lids and Rings... Then when the jars are filled and some salt and water added... they go into the Pressure Canner... and in 18 minutes... they are COOKED and SEALED and SAFE to put on the shelves fur winter eating.
Now Ernie and I will admit that we PREFER them Fresh and crunchy from the plants... we DO love them Canned in the winter... They REMIND us of WARM SUNNY SUMMER DAYS... when it is COLD and SNOWY and DREARY.
PeeS... the red and white stick thingy is fur picking up the Seals... that are in very Hot water... it has a MAGNET on the end... so mom doesn't burn her fingers.
