Back to the VET today....

I am off to the Vet again this morning so I won't be around .   I thought I would share some treats with you to help make up fur not being a very much good furend to all of you right now.   Help yourself... they are grrrrreat... and there is cool water over there to your Right.

Saturday and yesterday were declared.....   DO what FRANKIE likes to do days...  so fur two whole days...  I had Mom Dad and Ernie.... down in MY THICKet...   cutting brush and trimming trees and Burning logs and digging 87,000 holes and sniffing and snuffling and Rolling and doing GRRRREAT stuffs.
I kept sending Mom to the house to bring us Snacks and Drinks and stuffs...   they were two of the bestest EVER days fur FRANKIE FUN.

WHEN I get back from the Dogtor...   I will let you know how thingys are going.
Mom says that I have to pawpare myself fur some ruff days ahead... butt I told her to CHILL OUT...     Blogville's got my back.

Thinking of you today! And remember, I'm right over your shoulder watching over you …I will try not to crash into or frighten the dogter.

Lots of love, healing wishes, and cheeseburgers to my best buddy.

Hi Frankie (& family)

Just wanted to say hello and that I'm sending you positive vibes. Also, to let you know that my Great Dane, Honey, also had to have one of her eyes removed when she was 9yrs old. She had gone blind on her left side due to glaucoma and the pressure continued to build & cause her pain, so we needed to remove the eye. To be honest, the whole thing was more of an ordeal for us humans, especially as we were worried about her going under anaesthetic at her senior age, being a giant breed. But she sailed through it fine and adapted to having one eye so quickly, with no problems. She just looked like she had a permanent wink! ;-)

So I just wanted to offer a bit of support and hopefully your humans might find some comfort in what we went through - it really is harder on the humans than the dogs, I think. I think dogs are great at living in the moment and moving on with life. Also, they don't have any self-conscious or self-esteem/body image issues, like us shallow humans! Honey just got on with life and didn't let her handicap stop her having new adventures. :-)

The only thing we had to be a bit more careful of in the beginning was Honey getting startled if a strange human or dog approached her on her "blind side" - it took her a while to get used to that and so we just tried to make it easier for her.

Anyway, good luck with the surgery and wishing you a speedy recovery!

Best wishes,
Hsin-Yi

Pee-Ess - frum the mom. Thank-u fur stoppin'by our blog an'leevin'sum POTP fur Shiloh. Oh yes, it IZ helpin'already. He duz appear more relaxed an'able
tue settle an'nap easier. His tail is also up where a Beagle's tail is supposed to be. I still can't believe when he was first diagnosed and it was mostly in his tailbone, the vet told me that his tail may have to be amputated if he continued to be bothered with it - but then that was way before Blogville and the Duralactin - with the help of those two, Shiloh's back problems don't last long at all. We all got your's and Frankie's back today and hugs to you too - things like this are much harder for us peeps than it is for them.
