Remembering a SAD and Scary Day...

There are some DATES that will never be forgotten.      Some are GOOD ones.  Some are NOT.

Today is the anniversary of a very SAD time in this country's history.        It should NEVER have happened.    However, we do know that it Could have been MUCH Worse.   We are Thankful that on that day there were HEROES .      We choose to remember and Honor THEM,  and to ignore the evil ones.       We prefer to embrace the GOOD and shun the bad.        WE choose Peace and LOVE over  HATE and Terror.     BUT that does not mean that we are not vigilant.
We REMEMBER and we HONOR on this day.   We do our best to forgive and to learn from the GOOD that DID come from the darkness.
We promote PEACE LOVE CARING SHARING HELP and HOPE.
We Seek out and FIND the BEST in our friends.     We feel SORROW for those who have Hate in their hearts and minds.   We WISH that those tortured souls will some day find the JOY that acceptance of others can bring.   We HOPE that someday soon there will be an end to ALL forms of cruelty on this planet.
Oh, how we WISH that the WORLD could be like Blogville.

It is a day for lots of memories ...12 years ago today our mom first came to the USA ....it was not quite the welcome she was expecting....and one year ago today she became a us citizen. For mom it is a day of happiness but forever tinged with sadness too.

I remember this day vividly. Sitting in my 7th grade classroom and all my teachers fumbling around to get their hands on a radio. We Canadians will never forget!
