Ohio's Icebox

Dear Friends,
We have some friends who REALLY need our STRONGEST Powers sent their way.
Remington will have his surgery on WEDNESDAY and  Asta will have Her surgery on FRIDAY.   I am also asking you to think about Amber DaWeenie and her pack and Peeps..One of her pack(RUSTY) is having Surgery TODAY to see if they can remove a MASS that is in his Liver Spleen area   THIS is very serious and he may not be coming home, if the mass can not be removed. ... along with Rusty... Amber's two legger SISTER's  on going health problems.
PLEASE keep your STRONG PAWSitive THOUGHTS headed off for our furends.
You know that we have pawformed MANY miracles in the past and we need to do
                           our best AGAIN.

It is coming up on the Anniversary of OHIO's COLDEST Temperature Ever Recorded.
It happened    on    FEBRUARY 10, 1899       and the ACTUAL TEMPERATURE there that day was           - 39  degrees...    yes folks   that is   39 Degrees BELOW Zero F.

THIS is the Roadside marker that is on the property where Mr. Steve Eveland actually recorded the temp. for the National Weather Service.
Ernie and I hope to NEVER EVER have it be THAT cold again.

Back in September 2010 we told you about a TORNADO that went through this VERY SAME Property....    and the wind actually SNAPPED this sign OFF and it was found  nearly a quarter of a mile away... the sign is made of brass and weighs   over 100 pounds.       It has now been put back where it belongs.

Between That Frigid temperature... and then  111 years later the Tornado...   WE do NOT think we would ever want to live in that exact spot.

From our house.... As the CROW FLIES... it is only 5 miles...       There are two hills the size of ours.. between us and this place.

Thanks Frankie and Ernie for power of the paw update. We've been praying really, really hard for one and all. We contacted Rusty's mama last night when we heard the news. We're available to help her out in any way we can. She lives not too far from us here in FL. We HATE to hear that so many of our furends have got the icky sicky's. We are also sending big doxie hug's to their humans too.

We can hardly handle 39 degrees, but minus 39, furget it! We hope that never happens again. And stay away from any tornados passing your way.

Hugs,
Lily Belle & Muffin

Helloooo Frankie ~ I got an e-mail from Amber. She said Rusty is out of surgery it was cancer but it was a clean tumor. Not attached to spleen or liver, but it was in the intestines. Well you probably already know this. Hopefully the little guy will make it through the night.
