Some silly peeps don't even like Black dawgs of ANY breed. What is Up with THAT? Don't they know you can't judge a Dawg by the color of the furs??? Or the shape of the head or the kinda TAIL they have or how long or SHORT the legs are???
You gotta judge a DAWG by WHAT's INSIDE.
WE , of Blogville , do NOT judge all Peeps just beclaws SOME of them are mean and neglectful of US. NO... we are willing to give Each and Every Peep a FAIR CHANCE. And that is all we ask of peeps in return. Ernie and I may be Dachshunds on the OUTSIDE... butt Inside we are All like Corbin and other Pittie BULLS. We all HURT when we are abused and or neglected. We are all Brave at times and SCARED at times. WE ALL want to be comfortable and free from hunger and thirst and have Shelter. We all WORRY about stuffs and we ALL try to pawtect our homes and our peeps.... We are all ALIKE INSIDE... We all LOVE .
So that is why WE (Ernie and I) are gonna be Pitt BULLS fur a Day. JUST like our furends from the Houston Pittie Pack and CORBIN, and Roo, to name a few

Well pawed Frankie! What a great post honoring Corbin. He so deserves it, just cause he is such a great doggy pal and also cause he had to put up with all the back sickies and is still a sweet boy. That would have made me way crabby and mean, but not Corbin. Today is Corbin Day, yahoooooooooooooo! You and Ernie look great as Pit Bulls.

You know what annoys me too? How many dogs get called pit bulls when they attack or act aggressive just because they're short-haired and muscular and everyone assumes they have to be PBs? My sissy Cinderella and lots of boxers I know have been mistaken for PBs. I don't think a lot people could recognize one, but that doesn't stop them from spreading ignorance!
Well woofed, Frankie! I gib you a big smooch on the lips since you be a pit bull today (and Ernie too) coz I fur real did gib a fur real pit bull a smooch on the lips yesterday, BOL!

What really helps is when people meet well behaved Pitties. Mom and Dad brought us to the Whisker Walk yesterday and the there were a couple of different Rescue groups promoting Pitties. There were mixed breed and actual Pittie Rescues there with well behaved Pitties showing the public that there dogs weren't in danger of being eaten by Pitties when they were with people who were responsible.
In fact Mama's prejudice did show because the only aggressive dogs she encountered surprised her. She won't let me mention the breed, but when the dogs attacked each other she was surprised because she had always thought they were small laid back passive dogs. Unfortunatly these dogs were under the care of owners that didn't pay much attention to their behavior.
It goes to show that you can judge a dog by its breed for good or bad behavior.
Lily here.... I gots to do the typing today bcuz Mama's allergies are acting up again after reading your post. The water in her eyes are right now flowing as fast as Niagara Falls! Your posting was very touching. All dog's deserve a chance in life! And... to live it as good as we do!!
