Folks.... let me say that it makes it MISERABLE fur ME (and I am only speakin fur MYSELF here) very VERY hard and VERY VERY VERY time consuming to leave you a comment when you have that on there. Blogger has a wonderful system to protect us from Bad stuffs... so you don't really need all of that...and IF you are REALLY worried you can always set your comments up so that you have to give your approval before comments come up. THEN you could CATCH anythingy that MIGHT EVER slip through the Blogger Cracks. I beg of you...... PLEASE PLEASE consider taking the word varification OFF. I LOVE YOU butt you make it FRUSTRATING to leave comments for you. I do NOT mean to OFFEND anybuddy, butt if you ARE... Please EMAIL your concern to me frankiefurter(AT)Wildblue(Dot)net rather than leaving it in a comment. THAT WAY I can be sure to make an apology to you... personally..

PeeS... If you are not SURE whether your blog requires Word Verification or not.... all you need to to is CLICK on VIEW POST and go down to the comments and TRY leaving YOURSELF a Comment... If you don't need to try to type those thingys... when you finish then you are OK.

We HATE word verification! I know it's supposed to keep the robots out, but it does a great job of keeping us humans and puppies out, too! Away with the word verification!

We have trouble with Word Verification too. The Mom has poor eyesight and most of the time she just can't tell what those letters are suppose to be. It has prevented us from commenting on lots of blogs cause we get too upset and frustrated trying to get the letters right.
Thanks for explaining it to those who may not understand what a pain WV is for some of us.
Word verification is just plain annoying. Mom just guesses sometimes and even though she knows she was wrong, sometimes Blogger accepts it - go figure. As for anonymous commenters, they are just cowards.

Great post on the wordy thingy, hate them, they are like Tree Rats,makes we want to chase them back in a tree.
Only thing about the comment approval, its seems if more then half of or comments never make it, and we never leave any negatives or bad words, dad won't aloow them.

I did take the super sekrit code cracking verification thingie off JUST FUR YOU FRANKIE! A while back. Coz yes, blogger did make if most furry much annoyinker with DUBBULL sekrit codes - twofer the price of one. I has to admit I do not get spam commenties on my bloggie with it off BUTT Blogger sends me a paw-mail efurry time a spammer sends a commenty wot goes straight in the SPAM CAN and THAT be annoyink, too, coz it fills up my paw mail, (no thank you I do not want to see any nekkid laydees) but not as annoyink as trying to see the sekrit code wot you cannot read even if'n you is not a spammer but an in the fur fur real dog. Sigh.
Me gets all crossed-eyed wit dat wordy verification tingy. Hey...me bets dat is why me can't see tings dat are close up anymore. Me will send me dogter bill to Blogger!

Great post! I have had a couple of spam comments lately too and to the can-o-spam they go!!
I've had a few frustrating comments but really nothing too mean. WP is pretty good at catching the spams and I figure anyone too cowardly to leave their name isn't worth my trouble. :-)
I do hate that 'prove you're not a robot' thingy though. Once again, nicely said. :-)
Word verification drives us nuts. Mom just has the comments go to approval and she can weed out the spam. No robots need be used.
Sorry about the nut jobs that leave mean comments. Mom gets some real sickos on her craft blog. Not too much on our blog thankfully.
We have to agree about the word verification. One time we had to do it 3 times before we could tell what the heck it was! When reading a number of blogs, it does make it hard to post a comment. Thanks for mentioning it!

My boys begged me to pawticipate in Corbin's big day and they had a lot of fun doing it.
I've had a few comments I didn't exactly appreciate, but I didn't delete them. Fortunately, nothing too nasty yet. I don't know why peeps feel the need to criticize others like that.
I took my word verification thing off awhile ago. Didn't mind them on other blogs at first, but now they're just annoying.
Needed to be said. I notice the word verification thingy is mostly on new blogs. Boy are they HARD to READ! And you're right they take TIME.
Hate to hear about those NASTY comments....some peeps are just so mean.

Why would anyone be so miserable as to leave nasty comments; they must not have anything better to do. So far, I guess I have been lucky, I've only had one slightly weird comment. I hate the WV too, but now I'm off to check and make sure it's not turned on on my own site.
