Now I am thinkin that Ernestine is WAY too young to be goin to the Kentucky Derby. She might get scared and run out on the TRACK and get STOMPled by those HOOOOOGE FAST Horses. NOT to MENTION... being allowed to have one of those Minty Julips!!! I am STUNNED. I just HOPE and Cross My Paws that Francine Changes her mind about this.
I guess we will just have to wait until TOMORROW to SEE.
We all know how Francine LOVES to get dressed up and Strut her Stuffs. I (FRANKIE FURTER) just think that she is lettin little ERNESTine... grow up TOO FAST. I think Ernestine should be allowed to be a PUPPY. There is PLENTY of time fur doin stuffs like this... in about 87 months, when Ernestine has had the opPAWtunity to have some FUN.. like diggin and chasing thingys and Rollin in stuffs and learnin to leave peeMail. What do YOU think? SHOULD Francine take LITTLE TINY Ernestine to such an event?
If she DOES... I hope Ernestine gets away and Rolls in some horses poops. I'm just sayin.. it would serve Francine right.. In My (Frankie Furter's) Opinion.

Now Frankie, a gal needs some pampering every once in a while, you know? She should treat herself right and expensive cocktails are just the start! :)

Little Ewnestine is way too young fow such things..mud bafs, and just being a notty kid is what she should be doing now..plus those places awe LOUD. And that's scawy fow little pups
Smoochie kisses
Asta
Our Mommy loves the Derby but she's alergic to mint so there's NO Way she'd let us have one of those.
Poor puppy, she'll never learn how to be a puppy at this rate. It would serve Francine right if hr puppy rolled on horse poop!!
Sniff ya later.....Weenie
We Beaglebratzagree with Miss Asta - thoze race placez r just tu loud and bizy fer a little pup like Ernestine - she NEEDZ tu tell Francine tu go bury herself in sum horse poop. Then she, Ernestine, shood just run the other way an'go du what she, Ernestine WANTZ tu du!

All bluff and bluster if you ask me. Bet they'll slum it in the public enclosure and have warm beer and pie & chips* with plastic knives and forks (* or suitable American cr*p food equivalent!) Deccy x
Girls have such expensive taste :) We love watching the derby and hope to be there in person one day.
We took a vote at our house and all paws were in ~ NO Derby. We think she should get dressed up all fancy and stuffs and stay home and watch it on the TV.
Keep us posted!
Hugs,
Lily Belle
I've never seen a derby, and I don't like dressing up. Does that make me any less girly? ;)
Woofs & huggies, <3
~Bailey (Yep, I'm a girl!)
I ain't got a paw in that fight about Miss Francine's raising of that young'n.
Only thing I gotta say is you know how to make the RIGHT kinda mint julep. You used BOURBON and not WHISKEY. So many people screw them up by bringing that Tennessee filth up to Kentucky and trying to make a drink.
The only way to make a julep is with bourbon... and if you get a chance to grab some Woodford Reserve you'll be in love.
Have a great weekend. We plan on watching the Run for the Roses this weekend from inside the house -sigh- its gonna rain. But my beans and corn are gonna (finally) be happy!
Hey Frankie!
Wow, I totally agree that this big horsie event is no place for a wee pup! But, the entertainment value is really high for this, so if they insist on going...we can all enjoy a chuckle because I'm sure it will be interesting! My guess is that Francine will be all kinds of fascinated by the riding crops and whips. I'm just sayin'! BOL
Grr and Woof,
Sarge, COP
Ernestine might be a little young for a Mint Julip but it would be fun to dress up and get out! Maybe your just a tad jealous?!
Oh I think it would be fun for the girls to go to the Derby. Just watch that they don't take any money out of your pockets Frankie. Looks like someone is enjoying there friend Jim Beam.
Sweet William The Scot
Nows, Frankie and Ernie as your dear furiend I would tend to agrees withs you but ummm...today, I just don't thinks I can. Sees, it is important dat Ernistine learns bouts da finer things dis world has to offer...likes EXPENSIVE drinks and purty pawty clothes. You sures don't wants Ernistine to end up likes me does you?
I will has to say dis thoughs...maybe they dhould has went to da donkey races furst cuz they not so big.
Puddles
I do be a little curious what they is gonna be wearin.
Puddles
Yes, please post pics of their outfits. What kind of hats are they going to wear?
Now, for the mint julips...Is Ernistine even old enough to drink? I took a couple of drinks from Master's whiskey once. He's not very good at sharing. He got all loud and started saying, "NORA! NORA! Stop!"
Rude.
So, please tell Francine and Ernestine to have a beverage for me.
Nora
Can't wait to see the outfits! I think Francine should be able to keep an eye on Ernestine....
Well, maybe if Ernestine is kept on a short lead it could be quite an experience for her. I guess all pups and kitties grow up at different times. I think Simba has always been old giggle. Can't wait to see the pics of the matching outfits :)xx
Isn't it better for the girrrls to go to the Derby than come pester you at your house?!
Rooooo!
Douglas
Rooney here...........did I sniff somethingy about the loverly Francine?!?! Sigh. I wonder if it is too late to catch a flight to Kentucky.......
O my paws...that is just abuse...pure and simple.
Being Canucks...I think you are talking about the Kentucky Derby? Horse racing?
No self respecting wiener would ever be seen at such an event! We hopes Cousin Francine comes to her senses soon!
(((hugs)) your friends
Oskar & Schatzi
This absolutely SHOCKING! Francine must be stopped before sweet Ernestine is led down a path of no return!
Your pal, Pip
A pup my peeps had years ago loved to eat horse poop. Just saying, the potential is there!
Well, you know what we think, Frankie? We think you and Ernie need to get to that Derby too and keep on eye on little Ernestine to be sure she isn't led astray by her silly Mom.
And while you on there, would you place a bet for us?
Woos - Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning
I don't know about all this. I think she is to young for the minty things. But MOM went to the race once and she said it was fun. But MOM did not get all dressed up she just doesn't roll that way.
Blessings,
Goose
We're with Puddles here - we want to see what the girls will be wearing! And Mom says she'll take a mint julep, please!

Hi Frankie and Ernie,
Couldn't read you post but wanted to come and say thanks for your visit and I love you both so very much.
I got a spider bite last night on top if hurting with mussel spams and not being able to see.
We are having a time!!!!
BOL to Rooney & Douglas!
BWAR HAR HAR
Oooh we have never seen the Derby but sure does sound like fun!
Have a slobberiffic weekend!
Sounds like Francine has big plans!
I am not so sure Ernestine should go with her but.... lets see how it goes!
Kisses and hugs
Lorenza
I think it totally depends on how nice their hats are. Its all about the hats at the Derby and wow I think there is a lot of alcohol in those julips so I hope there won't be any embarrassing incidents. I don't know if it is a good idea. Watching it from home might be safer. They can have mint sangrias and tacos to celebrate both days.
Loveys Sasha
I agree with whatever Puddles thinks, cause I don't want her getting mad at me after I read her blog.
Horse poop? If little Ernestine is a purse pup that would be truly awesome!!!!
We agree. Ernestine is way too young for the Derby and all of that grown-up stuff that goes along with it. Take charge, Frankie!
Love ya lots,
Mitch and Molly
Paws crossed that Ernestine comes through her big adventure unscathed:)
Happy Cinco de Mayo!
