I do believe that I know Sandra well enough to say that she would NEVER want this to stop the JOY that we all find in blogging and JOY that we spread through our blogs. It is with that Knowledge of Sandra that I will try to post.. and comment as usual tomorrow...
Sandra Darling... if you see this post... Know that You are LOVED and that I believe you are a ROCK and and INSPIRATION to all of us.

Frankie,
All us fellow bloggers share in your sorrow and grief! We left Sandra a message yesterday and will continue to do so. We are saying our prayers for Sandra and her family so that their hearts can somehow start to slowly heal. We are thanking God that they made it out of the house. You are such a good friend to them and as hard as it has been, we thank you for keeping us all posted.

Hugs, Lily Belle

Very well said. We just could not find the right words yesterday. Poor Mom had nightmares about this. I (Shelby) woke up throwing up, and Milly tossed and turned all night. We said many many prayers for them last night and will continue to do so. Such a sad sad thing.

Frankie, we have gotten to know them very well over the last year or so. We have left her note and our hearts or very heavy and sad. I have to say blogville is the best to offer our support to our friends from a far. We know we can never bring back their beloved fur-babies but thankful they were able to get out. This is a lovely post, Frankie. I didn't know Sandra very long, but I am just heartbroken. I thought about canceling the couch protest post today, but I felt deep down that she and her angel dogs would want us to go on ...we hope we raise lots of green papers for them today.

Your pal, Pip

Frankie,
I've read this very post over and over.
Man you said it well.
I just can't imagine the horror of waking to my home on fire, oh no, the horror and pain is too much to bear.
We're shocked to hear the horrible news about the Houston Pittie Pack.
What a tragedy! What a heartbreak!
We've followed Shelby from the day she was rescued from a parking lot.
We thought she had a happy ending!
We continue to support her and her family, thanks for posting the sad news.
We love you more for your kindness and true friendship to everyone.
Hugs

Frankie,
What a perfect post. I continue to be amazed by the Blogville Community. I read Mayzie's last update with over $4,000 for Sandra that is for her pack right now. There is no other group I know of that can come together, give, love, support and do it so quickly and strongly. I fell honored to be a Blogville Citizen.

Beautiful post Frankie. I didn't know them for verylong but they were one of my first followers and have inspired me so much with their story. It's not right to take animals so beloved.

I've been thinking nonstop about the Houston Pittie Pack ever since I read about the tragic fire. I hugged my boys a little tighter last night and said a little prayer for Sandra and her family.

I'm going to post about them on Monday.

We all share in that tragedy. We do have a 'fire escape' plan in place. We cannot imagine the suffering of knowing you can't get your dogs out.

At least Kendra went to the bridge cuddled in the arms of the one person she loved, too sick, really to register what was happening around her. Can't imagine the ordeal of all concerned in the fire.

As long as they don't return my couch, I will happily live without cheeseburgers so I can help my dear, brave friends. Heck, I would even do without my couch for a little longer ...

And yes, I did see Miss PeeCan was #100. I am pretty sure she planned that one!

Blogville is truly in mourning. We have commented on Pip's blog and chipped in but it just doesn't feel like it's enough. Today I have found myself bursting into tears so many times. I can only imagine the pain that Sandra is in. I was planning on another post for Amber, but I just can't do it right now. Maybe in a couple of days.
