What my mom has been doing..

Today Miss Madeline (PIP's Two Legger sister) is havin some surgery. I hope you will all slip over and let everybuddy know that we have our Paws Crossed and are sendin our STRONG VIBES >>>>>>>>> fur everythingy to be super duper and fur little Madeline to be home Speedy Quick.
PeeS I sent Madeline a Blogville Emergency Medical Kit... so she can practice up on her DAWGtoring skills while she is in the hospital. I think THAT will be mostest helpful, don't you?
OKAY Now... when the garden starts POOPIN OUT... STUFFS.. It's Poop shooter really goes WILD. When my sister .. LORI.. left on Monday at Noon... the FUNS stopped and the WORK got started. My mom did all of this canning by Wednesday... butt I didn't have time to show you until TODAY. My mom took tomatoes celery onions green peppers carrots parsley garlic and cabbage and turned them into 12 quarts of V-8. HERE is a Before and after picture. Hey Wyatt... check out the size of these tomatoes!! I hope yours get this big and RED.. this year, buddy.
AND here are the quarts of Stewed Tomatoes and Green Beans... Over on the Right you can ALMOST see some of the corn that she had already canned... When she gets the shelves all Filled and the Freezers all shoved full... we call it... Mini Kroger. (fur those of you who don't have a Kroger.. that is the BIG grocery store chain... which we hardly ever have to spend green papers in.. beclaws of all the foods that I grow in my garden and the Deer Meats that dad catches)

Now then... On Friday night... Just Minutes before Lori arrived... we had a REAL gully washing downpour... in one hour we got an inch of rain.. AND then THIS GUY came to my safe place pen... we think to keep from drowning...

YEP.... Norwood THAT is fur SURE a REAL Live FROG.. right outside our door. In ALL the time that my mom and dad have lived here.. WAY back BF (Before Frankie) they have NEVER EVER had a FROG... TOADS... Oh YEAH tons of Toads... butt NEVER a Frog.

Like I said... it was a REAL DOWNPOUR... and havin a FROG come WAY up my hill is pretty amazing. Norwood would have gone NUTS over it.

I didn't pee on him or anythingy though. I used my favorite fence post. hehehe

Today I gotta help my mom can more V-8 juice. SOOOOOO like I said, When the Garden Poops out Veggies... we gotta WORK. I may not get to visit you much fur a while.

Last night right before dark my mom helped me pick some RED RASPBERRIES.. I just love em.. right FRESH from the vines.. butt the stickers get in my furs so mom helps me. I ate about 87 of them. AND then I ran to the garden and picked a nice ripe Roma Tomato. After I played with it fur a while.. I at it. THEN.. I went an picked another one. UMMMMMMM YUMMMY. THEN I pulled 3 green beans and had those guys fur my dessert.

I also have some grrrrrreat pics of the CABBAGES and Onions that I helped mom and dad cut up and get into the freezer. I'll TRY to post those fur you over the weekend.

I REALLY REALLY do miss all of you.. and I Pawmise to go back and get all caught up... once I get all this garden work caught up... OKAY???

Oh Frankie, you sure have been busy but all them veggies during the winter will be worth it.

I tried to eat a frog once and almost crocked. Mommy thought I had rabies with all that foam coming out my mouth. Samantha used to catch lizards with her mouth and then you could hear the crunch when she killed them. Mommy never said anything to her for doing that so she couldn't say much about me trying to eat that stupid froggie. But Samantha didn't eat them, she just liked kill them and then bring them to Mommy.

Stay cool!!

Hey, those vegetables won't can themselves, will they, Frankie??? Looks like your gonna have plenty of yummy soup to keep you warm when it cools down, IF it ever cools down. The secret to your fabulous garden must be Frankie poop, eh? BOL Have fun helping your Mom and don't eat all the veggies before she gets 'em canned!

Wow Frankie, I guess your garden has been pooping out lots of stuff. Our garden did good for a while, we got 15 qts of beans canned, then they went south, but bouncing back. Tomatoes are just starting to turn so hopefully within the next week we will be canning tomatoes. We have had squash and cucumbers out the ying yang, but Mom doesn't know how to make good pickles, does your Mom have a good receipe for this? We had no idea that we could eat tomatoes Mom is going to get us a little cherry one today. But Winston loves Green Beans and cries and drools when Mom snaps them. Have a great weekend. Cleo continues to improve, after her adjustment it was like night and day for her. The HoundDogs and Mom

Frankie, if there is a knock at your door, don't panic. It isn't a robber. It is just the Momster coming to offer you lots of green papers for all those canned goods - she is so very jealous.

We all have our paws crossed for Miss Maddy and hope that the surgery goes very well.

Have a great weekend.

You sure have been busy, Frankie! Whew!!! Be sure to take a little bit of time for yourself each day so you don't get burned out from all that hard work.

That frog is really cute! I saw some frogs at the zoo and they were all super tiny. Some of them were blue, red, gray, etc. That was really sweet of you to take care of him like that.

I've been wondering about Maddy and wondering how she fared. I hope she's doing ok and not in too much pain.

Wow! We should move next door to you, because our Mom can't grow ANYTHING. Well, she did make our yard greenish this year, but she's not talented enough to actually grow edible things. So, Mom goes to Smith's so we don't all starve to death! Either that, or we move next door to you and come begging for veggies... ;-)

I am so happy for your Mother's garden going so good. Ours is not doing as well. It is 100 degrees everyday and so dry!!!

Wesa so wish we weresa your neighbors Mayor Frankie...as you would share some green beans and nice maters. Our green beans this year died due to extreme heat and lack of rain and water restrictions. We have a few nice maters and a handful of cherry tomatoes and a couple of green peppers growing in...but this is one of the worst harvest of our garden wesa ever had. Is deer meat good? What does it taste like?

Wow...check out the awesome size of those tomatoes!!! We all have black thumbs & paws over here so we don't (can't?) grow anything. I am so impressed! Have lots of fun...oh,and don't eat that frog by mistake, it won't feel too good. Happy Gardening!!! PS - you could give some of lessons!

Pees - the HVAC guy had an emerg and cancelled on us. No snow locker until Monday. Right now it is 95. Ugh.

Wow Frankie...you sure are busy! Those green beans look good.

Our auntie in Texas calls a rain like that a 'frog choker' so maybe that frog wanted somewhere to hide out so he wouldn't choke.

Also, Sophie in Nova Scotia says if you count frogs you'll know how many snows you're in for.

I can see that you have been very busy helping your ma, look at all that lovely home grown produce. Mum looks at her vegie garden, and all we see is dirt (winter you know). She did buy some compost to help the dirt for this years spring and summer time goodies.

Wow! Your mommy is a real domestic godess!! Those tomatoes look SO big and yummy. The deer ate most of our tomatoes, which were all still green since our summer really just started getting warm a couple weeks ago. Mom is in shock. Oh well, she's going to PA next week to be with Gramma,so now no one has to water them for her.
