GAS... and I'm Not talkin' Phaaaarts

My sister Lori sent this to my MOM. Here’s another way to Protest the High Gas Prices.........can’t hurt to pass this around. What the heck, I’ll do it! If running low, just get your gas the day before on April 14 or the day after on April 16. Every little bit helps. In April 1997, there was a "gas out" conducted nationwide in protest of gas prices. Gasoline prices dropped 30 cents a gallon overnight. On April 15th 2011, all internet users are to not go to a gas station in protest of high gas prices. Gas is now over $4.00 a gallon in most places. If all users did not go to the pump on the 15th, it would take $2,292,000,000.00 (that's almost 3 BILLION) out of the oil companies pockets for just one day, so please do not go to the gas station on April 15th and let's try to put a dent in the Middle Eastern oil industry for at least one day. If you agree (which I can't see why you wouldn't) resend this to all your contact list. With it saying, "Don't pump gas on April 15th" Set a reminder in your calendar! this is fur PUDDLES... I think it is how she would SAY... Hot OIL... hehehe Did you know that a LOG could RUST??? I didn't. And is this somethingy you say if you play that game called CHESS???
Sorry the pics of my YapStop are kinda fuzzy.

My mom says she REMEMBERS THAT 1997 THINGY... when peeps didn't pump gas... and she says it really REALLY worked. DON'T FURGET.... NO GAS GETS PUMPED TOMORROW.

Sorry Frankie no sympathy from this end. Gail has just done the conversion sums and worked out that we are currently paying double that, an average of over $8 per US gallon, here in the UK...
No wonder she is going on holiday by bicycle (and train).

Interesting strategy for the 15th! Not going to the gas station tomorrow will give me more time to complain about gas prices at home instead of at the pump! What a fun thing to not do! Heehee!

Um, Frankie, have you ever heard of snopes.com? They are a great place to find out whether urban legends are true. The gas boycott thing has been going around for a long time. You can check it out here. http://www.snopes.com/politics/gasoline/nogas.asp I wish there was something that would make the gas prices go down, but it looks like it will just come to humans using less of it!

Love your squiggle words! And we WON'T gas up on the 15th! Mom just put gas in the Jeep and nearly fainted. It was over $50 and didn't even fill it up! She stopped when it hit $52 and thought she has pushed the button for super duper premium gas with gold dust in it! But NO, it was the cheapest kind. She's used to Dad filling up the cars and hasn't been paying attention. (sigh)

Gas prices in Malaysia has increased over 2 or 3 times already. It is now about the same price as the gas in your country, or maybe slightly more expensive. It's beyond ridiculous.

I remember last year when the government announced in the newspapers that they were going to increase the price of gas, literally everybody & I mean the WHOLE of Malaysia queued up at gas stations to fill up their car tanks plus, bottles & bottles & bottles with gas before midnight because the following day, the price would be increased. Almost all the gas stations we went to were jammed packed, it was crazy!!!

Malaysian government increased the price of gas in hopes that people would not use too much gas. But the thing is, people will STILL need to fill their vehicles with gas, no matter what. They need to drive to work everyday, etc. There's nothing they can do about it.

No problem here, Frankie. We topped off the tank the other day when we noticed that there was one place where it was still under 3.90 a gallon and we haven't used much since then. BUTT, what my peeps worry about is more the home heating oil prices, which go up just like gas, only even higher. Thank dogness the warmer weather is coming.

Hmm...I hope that works Frankie. I can't afford to drive around looking for Sawyer's toys and treats with gas prices so high!

Frankie, I know that it would make you really super duper happy to hear from Sawyer on my blog, but like I told you, she WON'T do it! I've tried to convince her. I've read her all of your comments/pleas, but she refuses. Schnauzers are very stubborn, you know. Maybe it's because she's so shy around strangers? I don't know.

But you know, the more I think about it, the more grateful I am that she doesn't want to do it. You see, the thing is, my husband has tonnes of hobbies. He loves so many different things and I've always wondered what I could do for fun. I've never really had a hobby. And Sawyer, her hobbies involve jumping, chasing and chewing. Well, now Sawyer has become my hobby, and pet blogging too. I'd be really sad if Sawyer took my hobby away from me.

I hope you like reading my blog anyway, even if I am a human. We can still get along even though we're different animals, right?

We're in. Hope it does some good.
And Gail, you may be paying more per gallon in the UK, but your distances are a LOT smaller than ours. Of course, so are most of your cars. That's one point to you.
