Happy Fourth of July Everybuddy!!!
My name story isn't very much interesting. Butt here goes:
My pawrents have had dachshunds for ever and ever. They had always been short hairs though. All of them were named ......... Von Schntzel though. Patty Cake Von Schnitzel was the furst. When she crossed over Pretzel V.S. came then Gretel V.S.. THEN... While Gretel was still with them... mom got Baron Von Schnitzel for my dad for his birthday pressie. AND at the SAME TIME my sister Lori got his TWIN brother Sarek. Then came Christmas and my Dad got my mom Duchess Lisel Von Schnitzel. (Soooo mom and dad had Baron and Lisel and Sarek was living with Lori in Columbus.) That was ok... until.... Sarek decided he didn't LIKE living with Lori beclaws she ALSO had two big dawgs and one was very mean to Sarek. Well, Sarek decided to move in with mom, dad, Lisel, and his twin bro. Baron. That meant that mom and dad had 3 dachshunds (the fleet) that were all the same age. Fine and dandy when they were young... butt you know we all get old and need to cross the Rainbow Bridge SOMETIME... For the FLEET... it was at 14 1/2, 15, and finally Baron left after 16 long wonderful years. Mom and dad said....... NEVER AGAIN !!! WE CAN'T TAKE IT! IT HURTS TOOOO MUCH. NO MORE DACHSHUNDS.... That was on a Monday..... by Wednesday... they had found ME !!! They made arrangements to pick me up on Saturday afternoon. I was being called Tiny Timmy at the time. My Mom and Dad .... hated that name and all that was associated with it.... sooooooo they tried to THINK of a good name. You know something like Blah Blah Von Schnitzel. I think that they were still sooooo upset about the last of the Fleet... crossing over, that they just could NOT come up with anything. SOOOOOOOOO, to make a long story short.... my mom went on line and looked up DACHSHUND NAMES. She saw Frankie Furter and fell in love. Dad saw Oscar and wanted that. They thought about that for about 87 seconds and said.... OK... this one is much smaller than any of the others.. he is already 11 months old, and he is a LONG HAIR. Let's drop the Von Schnitzel tradition and call him..... Frankie Oscar Furter Price !!! Sooooo there you have it.... I (Frankie Furter) am a one of a kind, in a long line of wonderful dachshunds.

Okay, well I hads to go back and read your adoption story. I haves to say dat you IS perfect in everyway possible. You may not have been da perfect "showdog" quality and too small but You is definately big on personality and looks. Part of me says, it's a shame your breeder couldn't see dat but then if they had...you would haves never had a perfect family nor would i haves met you. This planet work in mysterious ways.
Ummmmm, does you find it intresting thatt once a hooman is owned by a doxie they never seems to get another breed? Yep them hoomans are suckers I tell ya. My mum's dad started da whole doxie revolution and mmu has had them ever since. They did all start out having German names but that has kinda changed. Oh and Albert was my mum's furst long hair too.
Yea, I be getting to you nam. Frankie, is perfect fur you. I mean, it definately suits your blog personality to a T.
Puddles
That was a most excellent story Frankie. I loved ALL of the Von Schnietzl (sp?) names, and it is very special that you were the first to break the tradition :)
Hi, Frankie!
Of course you are unique and special!
Thanks for telling us about all the dachsies names in your family!
Happy Independence Day
Kisses and hugs

Oh Frankie Furter, that's very interesting on how you got your name.
Please forgive me, how could I forgot to get to play this game name, this morning when I turned on the pooter, almost every blog had the name game post, sigh, can I play later, like in the next 87 days, please?
Cheers!

Frankie this was such a fun idea. We have really enjoyed reading everyone's stories. Yours was great too. And how fun to learn you full name. Very fitting. You are most definitely one of a kind!
Thanks for such a great game idea. We had a lot of fun with it this week. (And love your name, of course).
Frankie,
Furst off....Kudos for such a wonderful idea you had with the Name Game. We are having sooooo much fun reading everybuddys posts. You should be so proud that you have almost all of BlogLand playing along!
Seconds off.....my mom is so excited to hear of the Von Schnitzels! Her 3rd wienerdog in life, when she be a little girl (bouts 1000 yrs ago) was named Schnitzel !!! She did nots have the aristocratic 'Von' in fronts of her name though. She was just plain Schnitzel! We are happy to learn of this connection to you!
Off to reads more bloggies! WE CANNOT WAIT for da big announcement tomorrow!
MinnaK
Frankie,
I love your name. It is the coolest name for a dachshund dog. I have two weiner cousins...one is Oscar Meyer Wheeler and his brother is Woodrow Wheeler...they call him Woody.
woof,
Rambo
Aw Frankie! I think your name is pawfect! It has to be one of my favorite doxie names, well besides mine. Thanks so much for having everyone post about their names....it is a great way to learn more about our furiends.
Snuggles,
Twix
Ha ha Tiny Timmy! OMD my sides ache. Frankie Oscar it is (mom overruled dad I see).
I have been telling everyone how much I loved your game idea even though I did not actively participate.
Twinkie
I just knew your name had to be one of a kind beclaws YOU are one of a kind and your name lives up to your personality! Sometimes it take a HOT dog to change people from doing the "same 'ol, same 'ol" and you have obviously changed your pawrents lives ever since!
Glad you like my name story...I was soooo nervous that you wouldn't think it was up to "Frankie Standards"...whew!
Oh...and I'm soooo happy you are liking the ROCKIN' bloggie post about the R.O.A.R. SQUAD that my mom posted today! How great that that Canadian gal is trying to put the puppy mill biz outa business in ONE YEAR! I hope you and your mom will help Shauna fight the good fight by pawticipating!
xoxo....Daisy
Yesh, Frankie, you are truly priceless! We are so furry glads that we met you☺
