Cussin Sarge's NameGame Story

Okay folks, hold onto your flags.... Sarge is now going to bark out his NameGame story.

Hey everydoggie! This is Frankie Furter's cousin Sarge. I have been assigned to report my name story. I take all assignments very seriously, like any good K9 cop dog would. After reporting my adoption story, I have been just waiting for my next assignment. My Dad's now a retired cop, but I'm still waiting for my chance to protect and serve. Here's my name report.

I was adopted right after my Mom's beloved Golden crossed the bridge. My handlers were both really sad about that, so they were, of course, thrilled to bring me home. They both wanted something to lift their spirits and I was just the ticket. My Dad had just recently been promoted to Sergeant in his Sheriff's office and they were both really proud of that. They named me Sergeant and said it was like the two leggers naming a son ___ Jr. I don't really get all of that, but I can report that my name is really important to me because I hope to soon be a real police K9 and I know I can make my stripes just like Dad did! In the meantime, my real name is spelled Sergeant, but everyone, even my Vet's office spells it Sargent, so we all just gave up fighting it and now I am spelled that way most of the time. I don't mind. Usually, I get called Sarge or Little Sarge anyway, so that's okay with me. I have lots of nicknames too besides Little Sarge. Mom calls me Scooter Crunch (some kind of favorite ice cream thingy) or Squeak Deak (don't understand that one at all, but it makes her giggle). My mamaw likes to call me Schnicklefritz (don't understand that one either, but it makes her giggle too). Sometimes after I sneak and lick my Dad's pillow until it's soggy, he calls me S**thead. I'm not supposed to use that language, but you get the idea. I just wag, because I know I have done a great thing for him even if he doesn't appreciate it. Sometimes I answer to these things and sometimes I don't. I figure it's my name so it's my choice (ahem). If I'm busy on patrol of my perimeter, I may not come to any name. Well, anyhow. That's the deal. Sergeant, Sarge, Little Sarge, Hey You...it's all okay for me. I'm just glad I can remind Dad of his work and at the same time I can be looking for that next assignment/patrol and hoping for the stripes so I can live up to my name.
Grr and Woof,
Sarge

What a cool story! We didn't realize the famous Sarge was a police dog in training. You should have added a picture of yourself!

I have a horsie brother named Sergeant Pepper and everyone calls him Sarge, too. I don't think he's going into law enforcement, though. He's kind of on the other end of the career timeline, I believe.

Sarge! That is a perfect name for you! Since your ears stand up I think you look like a dog in charge so that total fits. 'Moose' (although it is an awesome name) does not fit you as well. That is more for a goofball like my Moose!
