Gee I can hardly believe this one. I will hit my 500th. post very soon. That is pretty exciting to me.
I can remember back to last March 3rd. when I checked my blog and found my furst ever comment by Ruby and Penny. I don't know how they ever found my blog... butt find it they did. They were 2 1/2 and I was almost 3. Of course those are Calendar years They were more like about 17 of OUR years and I was almost 21. WHAT WAS I THINKING??? Those girrls were like Dawg Pound Bait!!
I was born on May 31st. 2006 Ruby was born in July 07 and Penny in Aug. 07.
I was all cracker dawg crazy over them INSTANTLY. Butt the worst was how I talked to them and acted all smart alec. You will NOT believe this... they put up with me calling them Hotties and myself their Studmuffin. Why they didn't just run for the hills I'll never know.
My dad had a cat fit when he found out how young the girrrls were. He said I was waaaay too old for them. Yeah Right... HE is 8 people years and ONE DAY older than my mom is!!! Geesh, he should talk. Well, after one of those big long sit down family discussion thingys... I finally decided to kind of cool it a TINY bit. I gave the girrrls time to grow up and have some fun and make some other guy furends. BUTT... I suddenly quit looking at any other girrrls.
I didn't let them forget about me though. I even did an insniffigation for them when they complained that the thought Spring was Lost. That was back when I was running my Insniffigation Agency. I even waived my usual fee in honor of Ruby's graduation from Certified Therapy Classes.
In a comment on their blog I awarded them my Total Devotion on April 23, 2009.
In Feb. 2010 I asked them to be MINE and they said YES!!!
Finally on March 2nd. 2010 I Popped the Question.
That was 364 days after they left their furst comment. OF COURSE YOU REALIZE THAT A CALENDAR YEAR IS LIKE 7 OF OUR YEARS!!! For Us... (Dawgs) that is a pretty long time. I did have to remind my DAD that he didn't wait 7 of HIS years getting around to popping the question to my mom!!!
In that time... those girrrls somehow managed to get my act cleaned up. I now treat them with the respect that they want and DESERVE! I think I had more growing up to do than they did. I'm just sayin'.
