Whew. I'm back in good graces again.

I don't know about you, BUTT I am thinking Spring. I can't wait to see the robins taking dips in their birdbath. It was only 17 degrees here today. We had two new inches of snow this morning, and it is supposed to be like this again tomorrow. BRRRRR. Thank goodness I have a nice warm Bomber Jacket with a hoodie on it. Update on my... embarrassing Teef Showing situation yesterday. Mom saw my post. She say I have to tell you that she didn't make me stay in my Brig for 87 years, or days, or hours, or even mins.. I only had to stay there until she counted to 10 (butt she did it reeeeeal sloooow).
Today she said that we are going to have daily PRACTICE sessions with the clippers. She won't really cut my nails every day. She is just going to make me admit (every day) that it doesn't hurt to be touched with the clippers.
I started yesterday at 6:30 AM by waking mom up and telling her that I missed her and wanted to cuddle up very much close with her. Then I let her rub my tummy until she fell back to sleep. That one works every single time. I'm just sayin'.
I stayed in my 'cliner chair almost the entire day. It made her feel very much sad for me. hehehe. I looked my very much most pitiful.
Then I very much ate my whole supper real speedy quick. Mom always worries that I am hungry so since I ate fast... before ten at night. Soooo that one got me 3 extra snacks.
Yep, I'm back in her good graces.
I am soooo glad that you all told me that nail clipping is a problem for a lot of us. Heck I thought it was just me. Thanks everybuddy.
I had never even complained about it before Saturday. I don't know what came over me. I just went all C R A Z Y. Maybe it was from Snowman withdrawal... or REAL snow depression. I don't know. I just sort of "lost it".
I hope I don't have to start going to the V E T to have it done. I'm gonna do my best to behave in Feb. I know that. Being in trubbble is no fun. I'm just sayin'.

Yuh, good luck with that desensitizing thing. Momma tried that with me, but adding one more thing to the daily "to do" list was more than her wee brain could handle.

Chip has to have his done at the VET because the quick is so long in his claws. Ginger gets hers done at PetSmart. MOm tried with that nail filing thingy, which we hate!!! but the VET and PetSmart use it on us. Mom had to learn!!!

Holy Cat Crap!! I just had no idea that the nail clipping thingy was such a major problem for ALL of us. After all the comments, I have decided that we should just tell our two leggers that they should GIVE UP ON THIS THINGY AND LET OUR NAILS ALONE. It is obviously too tramatic for everybuddy involved. I'm just sayin'.

Oh, that is pawsome news, Frankie! We know your Momma lubs you bery much!
And yep - we are members of the "hate nail clipping" club too!!
Our Dad trims our nails - and rather than try to do all 4 paws at once - he does a nail or two at a time! (while Momma lets us lick a spoon covered in cheese whiz!)

Xena gets hers done at the "beauty parlour"-guess she must be speical or somethin'!

Hi Frankie

That nail thing is a real pain, I take Sadie to the groomer in the pet store, but then she always talks me in to getting her a new toy or a treat.

Frankie,

I'll have to have Mom take pictures of Dad trying to clip Blueberry's toenails. That will make you feel better! Mom says it's like a comedy routine.

P.S. Glad you got out of the brig and got your mom treating you right again!

Frankie,
I get mine done when I get a haircut at the vets office and it doesnt even hurt. If they get long, I just do them myself and ir saves everyone. Mom learned on the past dog Sprint not for her to do the nail, so she hasnt done them on me, Thank-you Sprint!!!

Glad you are outta trouble and back in the good. I dont think it was the snowmen being gone from your house, that would make you major happy. Our snowmen are comnig out tonight!!

Until later

We have a rogue gang of robins hanging out down the street!

I'm furry lukhky in that my walks take khare of my nails!

We do have to keep an eye on my dewkhlaws - sometimes she'll be brave enough to try it - and we always get the vet to do it during my annual visit!

Hope the sukhking up to Mom is still working fur woo!

PeeEssWoo: So many dogs khome north bekhause 'shelters' in the south are not furry furiendly to us fur various reasons - plus, spaying/neutering seems to be low on the list of things to do fur pets - some of the kill 'shelters' are absolutely heartbreaking as to how they do THAT when THAT time khomes.

Huh, I did consider that perhaps 87 years where a bit much, but if it's how you felt...who am I to judge. As for your manipulative techniques: I want to praise you. I think I'm going to go practice now. Talk to you soon.

Can you learn how to chew your nails? One of our Border Collies used to, and never needed clipping. :)

Frankie
Not a good way to start the year but glad u and momma made up. Mom leaves nail trims to the vet. That's one thing she doesn't like to do.
