Multiple Personality?????

My "sister" Lori.

This may come as a shock to you, butt I was adopted. I lived with my birth family for my first 11 months. I grew up speaking German/Dachshund. I did not grow as much as my siblings. In fact, I am considered to be below standards for a Dachshund. It caused me to be very much shy and introverted. I was not a good candidate for adoption. Then one day a miracle happened.

I got adopted.

I had to learn a whole bunch of new stuff... in a hurry. I even had to learn "ENGLISH".

I become a whole different "person". One that would fit in on this hill. The problem is... now I sometimes don't know if I am a Real dachshund or a Real person. I get things a little confused sometimes. One min. I think and act like a dachshund and the next I behave like a person. It is kind of tough to be a dachshund in a two legger world.

I bring this up now beclaws I have some new blog furends and I wanted them to understand that sometimes I switch back and forth even on my blog. It may get confusing for you. I know it does for me, a little bit. Maybe I THINK like a two legger and ACT like a dachshund.

Then there is the issue of my "sister" Lori. She was NOT adopted. I love her a lot, BUTT I feel very much sorry for her. See she was born... well... with "problems". Poor Lori only has two legs and ........ NO TAIL. I guess she got those traits from mom and dad. I don't know. Life can be very much confusing sometimes.
Although things aren't easy for me to keep seperated... I want to tell you that MY LIFE IS REALLY VERY MUCH GRRRRREAT. I hope that all the two leggers who have chosen to Adopt one (or more) of U S, know how much we appreciate having a good home and family.
I think that we will talk a little more about this whole adoption thingy in a day or two. OKAY???

Yup, me too. I was so happy to go home with my mom, but I did miss my brothers and sisters for a while. Good thing there were other doggies already here to help me fit in with the new pack! They say pawrents start to look like their dogs - mom is worried about this in my case!!! Look forward to hearing more about your story!

Marge was adopted, too. It's so great for people to be able to give the orphan doggies a brand new home.

Hey Frankie!!
I was glad to go live my mom and dad. I had to leave my brothers and sisters and my birth mom. I missed them too but I quickly learned to love my new family. Although I was shy and scared at first, now I just one of them!!
I like to think I rule the roost!!

I have heard that moms look like their dogs, could my mom be so lucky???? BOL

Poor Quasar was put to child labor while still a young one - made to run around tracks for $$$. Then after that he was sent to prison for 3 months of rehabilitation! He was finally adoptable when he was 3-1/2.

Now, he's retired!

Frankie,

I'm adopted too you know. Nobody knows anything about where I came from or who my 4 legged parents were but Mommy didn't care, she loves me anyway. That's why rescue is so important. She only gots 2 legs and no tail but I love her anyway.

Joanie was so loved and she will be in pur hearts always.

Oh my!! Quasar my dear furend. I had NO IDEA that you had been one of THOSE. Your Thanksgiving story will be a real whiner. There won't be a dry eye on Thanksgiving. It is a story that many of us will want to read. I know a little bit about how you greys are treated. It is really awful. You surely are a lucky one now though.
