Friday 13th.....

Hey everybuddy... Look what my dad brought home for ME !!! I LOVE to chew on deer antlers. Butt there is something I like even better... eating that YUMMY meat!!!
This is me gnawing on my one of my antlers. I did this last night... AFTER I had my supper of Deer/Venison. My dad does G O O D WORK. If you are one of those squeemish ones... you might not want to see my last picture though.... OKAY... YOU HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED the last picture is of the deer that these antlers USED to be attached to....

This is a picture of me with my antlers and my very much SATISFIED look.
Mom and dad have already gotten all the meat cut off and MOST of it is in the fridge. They have been busier than a Lone Dog at a Squirrel Convention. She has 7 qts. in the pressure canner now and my house smells DELICIOUS. She also cooked most of the bones and has a HUGE pot of broth that she will strain and can. I don't know how many more jars of deer she will get total, butt I hope there will be a million. It is soooo good to eat. Mom told dad that she was very much tired last night. He was too. I think that is beclaws...mom says that he "is NO Stringy Chicken, any more. I'm kind of glad about that beclaws I don't think much of stringy chicken, myself.
The tenderloins measured 25 inches. The antlers weren't very big (7 pts.) Butt the deer was really pretty big.
This is the last pic of me with my antlers.
Later on today mom says that she will give
me two of the leg bones to take
outside and chew.
I can't wait.
YUMM!

I am soooo very much proud of dad. He didn't even lose his arrow.
You may want to stop here if you don't like seeing
things like this.
I am in Dachshund HEAVEN
WITH ALL
THIS
GOOOOD
TASTING STUFF.
Pee S. Be careful today... it is Friday 13th..

thank you for all the nice comments on our blog! Guinness is much better now. your blog is fantastic! we don't mind the deer photo at all. we are use to deer and moose and wild game. it is the best and healthiest way to live. it is also the most humane way to get your meet. and Frank gets the yummy antlers!!

Hi Frankie!

Sadie started a new grain free dog food that has venison in it, but we like to think that the meat just magically appears in the freezer.

Oh, deer ! Hope you don't get into a rut by always wanting venison (sorry, just can't stop with the puns now that we've started).... Maybe if more people hunted the deer around Ohio, fewer of them would meat (oh, there I go again) their demise on the highways!!

Snorts-
Brutus the Frenchie
p.s. I like lamb, but they don't have antlers. Bummer.

Oh Good. So far I haven't offended anyone with my deer harvest. Hey Guinness, Nice work on that spelling. hehe Glad you are better.

Sadie... I think that deer just magically appered in Dad's sights. He only takes careful and humane shots. I am very much proud of him for that attitude.

Oh Brutus... you just "slay" me with your puns. Get it... Deer Slayer... hehehe
We just hate to see deer along the highways. Someone has a huge repair bill and all that wonderful meat just goes to waste. There are hungry people in this state.
I gotta run now... going back out into my pen with my venison bones.... wish you were all here so I could share with you.
Pee S.... I LOVE Lamb too.

Don't chya just feel sorry for all those dogs who make their dogs -- gasp -- vegitarian?? WTF? like hellooooo... we're omnivors and carnivors... believe me, those humans are out there... I know a few sad to say.

Maybe I'll make it my mission to pupnap any dog who's stuck with a human who doesn't feed MEAT (especially venison and lamb and rabbit and chicken and turkey and beef and duck and oooo... I'm sure gettin' hungraaay!)...

great job on those antlers! care to share the legs with us? you look a little wee for those big deer legs... I'm just sayin'...
