Have a very "PHeasant" Week

The other day....   MY ROXY   showed you HER PHEASANT and what she could do WITH IT...  Gotta tell you... my ROXY has some GRRRRREAT MOVES!

SO in HONOR of Her PROWESS....    I... Ernie the Attorney... am wishing you all a

VERY      PHEASANT WEEK !!!

We took this picture about 5 miles from our house on  1/5/16
YES, that is a bit of SNOW....
Now  we think that the pheasant might have been hit by a car... although it Did get up and walk around a bit...   Pawhaps it was just STUNNED...         We wish you could have seen the BEAUTIFUL COLORS on him....

We sometimes hear pheasants, but rarely see them. They like to stay hidden around here. Pretty birds.

they are very pretty birds indeed - pity you couldn't take it home

We see loads of pheasants around on our country walk in Aberdeenshire. But the sad truth is that they are mostly bred so people can pay to go out and shoot them for fun. Now we don't mind people hunting animals if those animals are not an endangered species and are going to be eaten, but most of the pheasants 'bagged' in this type of shooting never reach the dinner table and we think it is wrong. So we have mixed feelings when we see these attractive birds.

Oh poor birdie! Hope he was OK after resting a bit. Ghostwriter says she used to see pheasants all the time around here, but not anymore. We do't know why.

We've never seen one here. But then again, you probably don't have roadrunners there.

I hope the pheasant is OK. Can't say I've seen one in Chicago though.

Howdy Mr Frankie and Ernie. Your pheasant looks beautiful for sure. Your snow looks nice and cool. We are having hot hot weather and having to eat ice blocks to keep cool. Take care mates. No worries and love, Stella and Rory. Xx

Our pawrents told us we used to have pheasants living on our property way back when they first moved in but haven't seen or heard any for many years. Those males sure are pretty.

Like Bertie and Miss Gail, I see lots of these colourful critters - there is a shooting 'estate' near Dunoon... and I also don't like such "Sport"... sadly, there are a few who do get caught by passing traffic... Hope your fella got and went soon after. Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
