Cob Corny

LOOK WHAT WE HAVE......       Corny Cobs....      It was ERNIE's FURST EVER!!
AND our Furst fur the Summer Season.        Ernie watched me when I showed him how to put a paw on the cob and HOLD it so you can bite off the kernels.. BUTT he didn't QUITE get it right.  I suspect that the NEXT time he will have it down pat.
Now we LOVED it... butt MOM old stingy butt took them away from us before we could do more than just eat the Kernels Off of them.    She said stuffs about the Cobs... NOT BEING GOOD to EAT.
Spring Summer and Fall are sooooooooo grrrrrrrreat.   Ernie will be so surprised by all the OTHER super stuffs that will be comin his way.       Young'uns are so fun to watch when they get to do something NEW.     WAIT until he tries WALLY MELON!!!

Oh I just love it when we get our fresh local corn on the cob! We eat it every day when it's ready. Right now we do have to really on it from our U.S. friends as ours won't come until the end of July! :(

MOM has not even planted the corn yet. She says we have to wait until the 20th of May. I am so jealous you have some.

Wow, aren't you the lucky little one's getting some cob corny. We used to be able to have it until our Cuz Doxie Freeda got real sick after eating it. So Mommy put the kabosh on that treat! We tried 'the mellon of water' but didn't like that. We didn't much care for the bluest of berries or the berries of straw either. Muffin and I are more meat and 'tatoe girls.

You're doing such a great job teaching Ernie the finer points of eating.

Hugs,
Lily Belle

Hey Franks,

My mum says she has not even thought of giving me corny cobs! Looks like I'm gonna get some now!

She was most surprised when I spat out the wally melon!

I love to shred up those corny cobs. I don't eat them...just destroy them. That's what I do.

I needs to take some pictures of our corn which are taller than us already.... and send you some of the corn goodies when they finally get taller than mommy.

Ernie is a natural. You are such a good teacher, Frankie!

Oh I am quite envious of you and Ernie. I have never tasted corny cobs, as Gail says she doesn't like them. How can that be?

Wallymelon!!! That is my favorite. Ernie will be so excited. I have never gotten a corn cob, I must speak to my Mommy about this. It looks like fun. Ernie is so lucky to have a big brother like you to show him the way.

Hey F-n-E!
Wow, those look yummy! I'm not a huge veggie fan, but I bet those are tasty. Great form there Frankie and I'm sure Ernst will improve. Did Mamaw throw them out for the birdies?!? My Mom loves watching the birdies clean up what's left over.

OH Frankie, you are the best guide through life that ERnie could have. All Jamie did was teach me how to chase rocks and then eat them. Only she didn't really tell me how to eat them, I figured that out on my own. Boy am I dumb.

Actually -gasp- I do not like tomato juice in any form... nor V8. -gags- In the 20+ years I have been on my own I have never purchased either. :)

I mostly make salsa, diced/whole tomatoes, marinara and my own tomato sauce. :) Roma tomatoes work wonders for those.
