Aside from looking very gruesome... The skin looks pretty good, not red and awful, doesn't it? Is the wound itself leaking anything pus-like? Poor Ernie... Soon this will pass and he'll be bouncing off the walls again!!

OMD, Ernie has PLUMBING? He rilly did get a make-ofur at the V-E-T. Udder than the pipes sticking out, looks good to me.

That skin area looks pretty good to us, Frankie - we think Ernie is on the road to recovery. Mom had a cockapoo once whose ear canal kept closing shut tight and he had a drain like that that went through his canal and out on the side of his neck. It was in there for a really long time to try to force the skin to stay open on the canal. But in the end poor guy had to have all the inner workings of his ear removed because it wouldn't stay open:(

Paws crossed for him to continue to do well.

HI Mr Frankie, don't worry Little Ernie's draino thingy doesn't look too bad. Soon it will be all fixed and it will be funtimes again. Do you remember when I had my operation and got an infection and mum thought my guts might drop out of the hole in my tummy. It was totally gross. But, after antibiotics and salt water washes, bingo, all better and now you cant even see when my wound was.

Take care all. Sending heaps of love and slobber to help heal Little Ernie. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory
