I had a talk with mom and dad

FURST.... I gotta tell you that you need to hop over to SARGE'S BLOG ... beclaws BOY HOWDY does he EVER have a COOL DROOL thingy to SHOW YOU!!!
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV
NOW that you are BACK......

So like I have been sayin.... I miss my FURENDS and I am thinkin about the days gettin SHORTER and DARKER and COLDER and I got to gettin REALLY feeling lonely and BLUE.

So I sat my mom and dad down a while back and said... I need a new furend and I am a very much responsible guy. I am married and have stayed totally faithful and loving to my wives, Ruby and Penny. I am the Mayor of Blogville and I have TRIED to serve everybuddy the right way. I am MATURE enough and I think I am ready to take on even MORE responsibility. And I want a PUPPY!
Well, we talked it all over and I (Frankie Furter) was able to talk them into letting me get my very own puppy. THEN we had to make PLANS. We found the right puppy and then we had to go pick him up. THAT is what we did... WAY BACK on OCTOBER 15th.. BUTT I had to keep it a Secret ... UNTIL I COULD PROVE TO MOM AND DAD THAT I REALLY COULD AND WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR HIM AND TAKE GOOD CARE OF HIM AND TEACH HIM STUFFS. I also had to chews the PERFECT NAME fur my Furst Ever Puppy!
ALSO... we had to take him to my Dawgtor fur a check up... just to be SURE that my mom had NOT missed some hidden flaw or somethingy like that... AND to get his SHOTs caught up and his Heartworm medicine set up and..... to have him MICROCHIPPED. Well we did that on OCTOBER 19th.. I told him that the Microchip would hurt a little bit butt that it was fur his own good.. HE was really Brave and only cried fur like 87 seconds. Not bad fur a TEENY TINY GUY.
AND then I told him that beclaws he was BRAVE I would take him to my FAVORITE STORE... PetSmart fur a new TOY and a new Walkin Harness. HE loved that place.. I showed him all over the WHOLE store! HE was very very much Good.
NOW here is some inpawtant stuffs about my new puppy.
DOB August 5, 2011 (Sarge... check out that Date!)
Gotcha Day October 15, 2011 (Weight 2.75 pounds)
Age ... 11 Weeks Old
NAME: Ernest von Schnitzel (ERNIE)
Color: Red with Black Overlay
Breed: Long haired Dachshund (of course)

NOW, I would like to let you see MY new PUPPY... Ernie. Beclaws I am very VERY much PROUD of him. I'm just sayin.

Dr. Husty and his helper lady... checkin Ernie's Microchip fur placement and stuffs. Dr. Husty said that I had REALLY picked a GRRRREAT Puppy... No Problems seen. OUR Dawgtor said Ernie was PERFECT>>>> WHEW!!
HERE's Ernie sittin on My Pumpkin... I had my dad sit close so he wouldn't fall and get hurt. HURRY..mom... I gotta get Ernie off of there.. Safety FURST!!
HERE is an Up Close pic of MY PUPPY... He will never have REALLY REALLY long furs like I do... butt that will make it easier fur me to keep him groomered and stuffs.
He will never be BIG BIG BIG like I am either... I weigh 10.25 pounds.... Of ALL MUSCLE..... you know.
THIS is a picture of me with my puppy (did I tell you that I call him ERNIE?) at Petsmart.. right after leaving the Dawgtor's office. I was soooooo proud of how Ernie listened to me and followed me around the store... he didn't even BEG fur EVERY toy and TREAT in the store!!! CAN you Believe that? This is the ONE and Only Toy that he asked fur. He is taking very much good care of it... in FACT... he is taking very much good care of all of MY toys too... so I am letting him play with any of them that he wants to play with!!! Ernie is very good... except fur ONE THINGY....
I will admit that he IS havin a little bit of trouble learning where to pee and poop... butt he is REALLY TRYIN!!!
I kept this a SECRET... I only told my VERY much SPECIAL furends who pawmised to keep my secret.. I needed to ask them some impawtant Puppy Trainin Questions so they helped me out a whole ton. THANK YOU fur keepin my secret.
I even had to be Super Careful about takin pictures at the Circleville Pumpkin Show... so that Ernie would NOT be in any of the pictures ... and Spoil my Surprise and stuffs.
I wish you could have seen him THERE.... I was BURSTING with PRIDE... he Walked and Walked... and he let 87 bazillion peeps touch and hold him... and then when it was his NAP TIME... he got in my Walking Machine and mom pushed him around... butt peeps kept wakin him up... and I was worried that he might get Cranky... (which he NEVER DID DO) so after we ate our lunches and left some pee mails and stuffs ....I took the full responsibility... and said... MOM, DAD... I think that we should just call it a day... we don't want to make ERNIE be too tired and stuffs... he has learned how to walk in his new harness (PERFECTLY) and to walk around 87 bazillion people and not get stepped on... I think that is Enough fur him to learn in one day.
SEE... I am a RESPONSIBLE puppy owner!!!
SIGH... I have a PERFECT FUREND. I'm just sayin!!
PEE S.... last night my mom said I should take Ernie out to pee. I showed him what to do...butt he was playin with some leaves and stuffs.. when mom called us to come In... I went RIGHT AWAY.. to show Ernie that He should do that too... and he started to Follow me... BUTT then he TURNED AROUND.. RAN BACK TO THE GRASS AND ......... PEED... THEN he raced in after me!!! I think I am makin a LITTLE Pawgress with this Pee Trainin stuffs..

Woo Hoo - we had no idea, but we made a good guess yesterday, didn't we? We are so excited for you, Frankie - Ernie is beautiful - we can say that because he is still a puppy. How awesome for you and your peeps!!! We have lots of experience with all that pee and poop stuff. The Momster says a crate is best and take him out on a leash to do his business, praise him lavishly, and then come back inside, no playing right then. He can go play when you are sure he isn't needing to go potty right away. It seems to work like a charm here. Oh, and when you do that, tell him "go Potty" or some special words and it will help him learn what he has to do.

We are all smiling the biggest smiles here - we are just so happy for you.

Dear Mr. Mayor: When you were feeling bad about not having the Charcoals anymore, I said to talk to your Mom and Dad about getting you a puppy of your own. And at that Time, you already had that cute Ernie but you weren't telling us! I am so happy for both you and Ernie, you will have a ball and love each other for always.

SQUEE! SQUEE! SQUEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!

Oh, Frankie! I am so very much happy for you that you got your very own puppy! He is SOOOOO super cute (but not as cute as YOU of course). And gosh, he sure is lucky to have a big brudder like you to show him how to do stuffs. I was a lot older than Ernie when I got adopted but having a big Brudder Ranger sure did help me figure out how to do things - like how it was okay to pee in the yard and not in the house - and how to look pawfectly pitiful so mom and dad will gives us CHEESE.

You're gonna teach him so many Most Wonderful things and you're gonna be the best of furends, I know it!

Congratulations!

oh Mr Frankie that is just pawsome news and I am so excited for you and Ernie - he sure is cute and oh man the puppy breath :)

Tucker said...

Oh Wowsers you gots a brudder! Now some simple potty training advice:
Puppys need to go out after they play, eat, drink, and wake up from a nap. So basically all the time. Also, make sure you are using something like natures miracle to clean up the smell so that Ernie doesn't want to go in that spot again. When Ernie goes outside you should have a total party with all the excitement- your neighbors should think you are crazy. Also, if you are using a crate make sure it is small enough, if not block off a part of it with a box. Puppies need just enough space to get in and turn around to lay down. Too much space and they'll pee in the crate. Cause us doggies don't like to do our business where we sleep you want to make sure the space in the crate is small enough. Oh also, I'm sure you know this but if he starts to go on the floor, just pick him up and take him outside. Make sure you don't yell scary things at him like NO and BAD Dog cause that will make him just scared to pee in front of you.

Good Luck!

Yippee!!! You sneaky tricky trickster. Squeeeeeeeee! Sorry Frankie, mum can't stop. You are going to have the most fun ever. Little Ernie (and we love the name) is so sweet. We are sending you both puppy kisses and extra slobber for Ernie. Rory is only about 4 weeks older than Ernie so I know all about looking after a little squirt.

This has started our day off just perfectly. Congratulations Frankie on becoming a BIG brother. Well done to your mum and dad too. Ahhh just lovely. No worries (especially with the toilet training) and extra love, Stella and Rory

Frankie, you are so lucky, I had a big brother, but he crossed the rainbow bridge a couple of years ago, how lucky are you first you find great humans to love and care for you, then they get you a brother, must say I am not really very much surprised when my Mum first met your Mom, she had three beautiful dogs, then one by one they crossed the bridge and she was all alone, then YOU brought love and smiles back into their lives , so of course they just had to get you a brother, sometimes I think I would like a puppy, but they are a lot of work , teaching them all the things they have to know I am just too old for all that, I will be 15 this Christmas,
I am soooooooooo happy for you now you will have someone to play with on your hill and in your very special room, when it is all cold and snowing outside.

WOW!!!
Sooooo many things to say!
1. Cute puppy! I (Shelby)told Dad I wanted a Great Dane puppy and he said "no" and he told me that a Great Dane would not let me ride around on it and that ruined it for me.
2. You only weigh 10.25??? Wow. You are smaller than us! I weigh 16 and Milly weighs 18ish. (Between you and me, the Mil could stand to skip a few meals. haha)
3. You need to give a step by step of how to convince Dad to buy me a puppy.
4. Are you jealous of the attention your puppy gets? My Mom and Dad say I am too "terr-i-torial" and I would pee all over the house with a new puppy around... and I did that once when we fostered a Yorkie. I peed allllllllll over the house allllll the time! hahaha!

Enjoy your puppy.
Oh, and I am deaf for the time being from Mom squealing over the pictures!
