This and That

Still canning Juice... yesterday... 18 MORE Quarts of V-8.
I noticed that somebuddy asked what DEER TASTES like... Well, when it is done RIGHT... it is like the most Well Aged, restaurant quality Beef you ever tasted. The stories about it being Wild or Gamey tasting... are only true when... it has not been Field Dressed immediately and was draped over the hood of a Pick up truck and driven around fur like 87 hours and then hung and the hide left ON fur another 87 hours and then FINALLY skinned and STILL left hanging fur like 87 MORE hours.. NOPE.. that stuffs is NOT tender and tasty. That stuff tastes like spoiled meat.
I'll see if I can remember to bring some to the Sept. 5th. BLOGVILLE BASH. And maybe even some Cabbage Bones... I still have some of those Frozen.. Deeeeelish.
If you would like to help our dear furends... the Slimmer Puggums... with some of the HOOOOGE surgery bills that Mimi and Gracie... you can donate items fur the auction we are having. AND there are gonna be some COOL Drool NEW activities for your enjoyment on the 5th.. And the Roaddogs have even pawmised to bring back the BOUNCE HOUSE...
I don't have any other info on what all will be going on that day... beclaws.. we are in the PLANNIN Stage right now... BUTT... I do know that Miss Asta will be doing some FANGTASTIC Photo Work fur it!!! I'm just sayin...
Miss Sugar is having a her Birfday this week and Wyatt is havin a FAIR Pawty fur his birthday on Aug. 23rd..
We need to welcome a new resident to Blogville. He is Phantom and Thunder and Ciara's baby brother... (BTW... they are thinkin of a Name fur him... I thought of FRANKIE right away, butt that one is Taken. I hate to tell them that Snow WHITE it already taken too. BUTT, I am now leaning toward SPOT.
Pip's lovely sister Miss Madeline came through HER surgery with Flying Furs... Let's hope that Gracie does the same on Tuesday.
Sorry I haven't left everybuddy a comment... butt I HAVE been READING your blogs.
Like I said... when the garden's Produce Poop Shooter goes WILD.. it REALLY goes Wild ALL at ONCE.. and I've just gotta deal with it when that happens..... No time to Veggie-Tate right now. BaaaaaWaaaah

Have you gone to see the Sand-Script blog?? http://sand-messages.blogspot.com

So good to hear that all is well with Miss Maddy. We still need to get to Pip's blog - very busy days here now with the new addition. Lightning Spot sends his thanks for the welcome and he is very glad that Snow White was already taken:)

We will be happy to help with Miss Gracie's surgery - bring on the fun.

I vaguely recall my father hunting for deer when I was a little kid. My mom would cook it up in stew and stuff and I never did care for it or for the rabbits he killed. Maybe your mom does a better job of cooking it.

I don't know the Slimmer Pugs but I'll stop by and say hello. I'm sorry to hear they aren't doing so well and I hope that Gracie's surgery goes well.

Lightening is so handsome! He just makes me smile.

Yes, I'm glad that Maddy is doing so well after her hand surgery.

Mom says she used to have fresh deer a lot when Grandpaw could still hunt, but he has Parkinson's now and so he doesn't go out so much anymore. She agreed that it does taste like really good beef!
