Hi again - yes, the singed whiskers thing could have been so much worse! Mama was downstairs working on the computer and just had a feeling to go upstairs. When she opened the basement door, she was hit with the most terrible smell. The burner was on HIGH. We still don't know how she did it, but assume she hit the knob on her way up. Very scary!
