We are going to start the tour with the SAD STUFFS

Before Me (Frankie Furter) there used to be "The Fleet". That is what my mom always called them. There was BARON vonSchnitzel and his TWIN Brother Sarek vonSchnitzel and the Lovely Duchess Lisel vonSchnitzel who was 5 months younger than "the Boys" and not related at all. Their Names got painted on the Toy Room Wall about 2 weeks after they and my mom and dad moved into this house. They were all three 10 years old at that time.
Baron was the athletic dachshund. He weighed 16 pounds on his furst Birfday... and he weighed 16 pounds the day he crossed the bridge. He was the last one to cross and it almost killed my mom and dad. That happened on a MONDAY and on SATURDAY I came here to live. See the Mug on the shelf... THAT is what Baron looked like. Same colors and markings as ME... butt SHORT furs.

This is Lisel's name.. She Looked like me... butt bigger and short furred. She was .... "different".. or so my mom says. She NEVER allowed anybuddy to growl or snap or stick out their teefs... EXCEPT fur HER!!!
This is Sarek's name... he was named fur Sarek from Star Trek. Sarek was Barons TWIN.. butt I guess you would NEVER have known that to see or watch them. Sarek weighed 18 to 20 pounds. AND.... his (short) furs color was called Wild Boar. He had all the Tan markings that Baron Lisel and I have... butt you could hardly see them... beclaws they were ALMOST the same color of tan as the rest of him. Sarek was NOT good at racing and running and Playing BAll like Baron... butt... he did catch a fur real BIRD in mid air once... and he could dig like a pro. He was a LOVER. He stuck to my mom like squirrel poop on your paw.

The BOYS were born on June 7th. and Lisel was born on Nov. 22nd.. That meant that they were all puppies together... and they all crossed the bridge within 18 months.
PeeS... my mom did not paint these names on the wall. A teenager girrrl came and stayed here fur 3 weeks.. right after mom and dad moved in. And it was that girrrrl who painted the Shelves.(one fur each short hair) and put up their names. Mom will prolly NEVER paint the TOY Room beclaws it is like a very special place to her. I guess it is good that they painted it Right Away when they moved it. She gets all whiny and stuffs when she has to wash THE wall every February. YIKKKKKKESSSSS Is it almost THAT time of year again????
I PAWmise... that all the rest of the tour will be... funny or happy or whatever... butt not any more sad stuffs. OK?

Oh Frankie, I enjoyed learning about the fleet before you. Writing the names on the wall is a nice idea. We have a whole wall of pictures of various kitties and doggies from the past.

Have a great weekend!

That's pretty cool that their names are on the wall, it's like they're always there. I want my name on a wall, now, too!

Frankie, it is so sad for us when our loved ones cross the bridge.

Years before us, our mama had several long-haired doxies....and one of them was named Schnitzel!!!!!!!! Mama had brought his parents, Sandy and Schatzi, back from Germany with her in 1974, with thoughts of breeding them. (long hairs were fairly hard to find in the States back then).

Schatzi had one litter and mama cried and cried and cried when she had to part with 4 of the 5 puppies).....so that was the end of breeding them!!!!!!

Have a wonderful weekend.

Us again, Frankie......we wanted you to know that our human brother had 3 long-haired doxies, but lost two of them in the past couple of months....he had had them for many, many, many years.

Mama would have at least one doxie if she still owned her house with a back yard....but as she has been living in apartments since 1998, and since all her surgeries a few years back and the additional arthritis she has, she has found it difficult to have dogs, because of lack of a backyard and her inability to take them on walks.

Lucky for us boys that she loves kitties too, and she doesn't have to take us out for walks!!!!!!

Love to you and yours for us and our mama

I didn't think it was sad at all! It's nice to remember those we love and it sounds like they were all characters. Your room sounds like a really special place!

Oh, but I think it WAS happy, Frankie. Cuz even though they're at the Bridge, your mom keeps their memory alive by keeping that wall just as it is. They were all obviously Most Special to your mom and dad and cuz of their luv for Baron and Sarek and Liesl, your mom and dad eventually adopted YOU! And THAT, my furend, is a very happy thing!

Oh, I think this was a sweet post and not at all sad! It's so nice to have such great things to remember our past furiends -even if we didn't meet them. This inspired mom to put pictures in her office of all of my past foster sisters... she already has pictures of her past 5 pets before I came along! I can't wait for the rest of the tour!

It may be sad that they are gone, Frankie, but your Mom has such special memories of those three special doxies. Mom says she would never be able to paint those walls either. Thanks for the start of the tour.

Frankie, my birthday is June 7th! I can bet those boys were really special if they were born that day! What a neat idea to paint all three of their names on the wall. So cool.

Well, we enjoyed the tour. Sometimes things that are hard to talk about are the best things to talk about. We are our pawrents first doxies (or furkids at all for that matter... except Mom did have a cat ones, so we're her first dogs. She says she will be very sad, too because we are sisters and we will probably cross close together, too... but Mom says she hopes that for us because we will be extra sad. We don't know life without each other!

We're honored to get a tour of your Toy Room, Frankie. Mama says you never really die until there's no one left who remembers you. So The Fleet are still alive in your pawrents hearts. They're part of who your pawrents are, so they're part of you. That's family. We share a house with dozens of Great Danes we never met because they still live in mama's heart. There's room for all of us.

We love that one of your pack had a Star Trek name! Mama's had a couple of Star Trek Danes herself. Your brother Sarek must have been spiritual father to one of mama's Danes named Spock.
