Green Beans and..... PUDDLES

The AWARD is For all of my Gardening Furends.   It was given for FREE, by Dennis the V..  hehehe

Mom managed to get all 20 jars to play POP goes the VEGGIE!   Whee.
Someone asked how to:
Here is what she does:

Quart Jar...  add   1 tsp. salt
Fill jar with Clean beans
fill with water (NO BUBBLES PLEASE) to 1 inch headspace
PRESSURE CANNER ONLY....    10# pressure
Let steam vent 5 mins. before putting the weight on
Process 20 mins. exactly.
let canner cool 45 mins..
Open carefully & remove jars CAREFULLY
let cool  out of draft.
I pawsonally like to listen for the POP of the lids.   hehehe
My mom has done THOUSANDS of jars this way.   None ever spoiled and no one ever got sick.
NOW for the PUDDLES update.....      OH  EM DEE     that one ... is now signing her blog...
PREACHER PUDDLES
What will be next????

Our Mom needs to get a pressure canner. Last year she tried to put up some figs but they spoiled and made a HUGE mess. Nothing much to put up this year (sigh) bugs are eating our garden.

We will has to admire your canning from afar coz mom has the blackest thumb evah! And if'n she does try to plant anything, I rip it out and dance around the yard wif the roots hanging out of my mouf. That is just to save her the pains of hasing the plant to go heaben when she makes it ded.

Thank you so much for the lesson! My mom has been too nervous to try such a thing... besides, I'm not sure food would last long enough around here to go through that process!! --Uh oh, I gotta go. Mom was not happy about that comment.

Wow...my momma has only used a pressure cooker thing like twice and she really didn't do a very good job with it either time. She is most impressed with your mom!

Oh, and I told Puddles this morning that I thought she should go by Her Holiness, the Most Righteous Rainwater. More befitting of her loft station, don't ya think?

Looks like there will be no shortage of green beans at your place. Your mom is good to do all that work. Our mom used to can strawberry jam, but she said it was very time-consuming - BUT oh so tasty!!!

So it is Preacher Puddles, we were calling her Pastorette Puddles:)
