My boat was floating... butt the parking lot wasn't

Just look what all of that rain did. They had to close the spillway to prevent downstream flooding, and as a result... My Lady L is way out in the flooded lake. The white line you see is for the SECOND ROW of parking BACK from where we always park. She is about 50 feet out from the spot mom stood to take this picture. That is supposed to all be nice dry parking lot. BAH!! Butt at least the Lady L wasn't floating FREE...

This is our neighbor boat. That Canada Goose was swimming in FRONT of their boat just a few mins. before this pic was taken. Their boat isn't tied up like mine is soooooo the front of their boat is tipped waaaay up and the back is really low in the water. If it gets any worse.. their boat may either Break free or else... SHIVER SHAKE... it may swamp. Mom already called them and told them that they should TRY to get there and get longer ropes on the boat. These are the people who... mom took her shirt off for the other day. That was after poor Darlene fell overboard.

This pic shows how high the front of their boat is. SCARY

This is not good, BUTT not as bad as it was one year. See the light pole to the left of the Lady L??? Well, one year the boats were actually stuck ON TOP OF THOSE LIGHT POLES... PLUS... See how far back we were standing... there are 3 more light poles way back here and there were boat on top of those poles too. Whoooooie. THAT was a REAL flood. This one is bad enough.
And... are you ready for this one????? I have more pics. I'll show you those tomorrow. There WAS on boat that did break free and had floated up into the parking lot... I had to help my furend the ranger guy get it pushed back into the water enough so that it would float and so that he could get it tied up again... SDRAWKCAB... IN someone else's slip. I don't know how they will get it turned around the right way. I just hope that their prop isn't badly bent. It DID scrape the blacktop when my furend was trying to push it around.
That is why they call them BOATS It means Bring Out Another Thousand.... (Green Papers).
Sooooo here I am back at home. No boat fun for me today.
I think I'll use some of this time to work on a list of Pawty Games for Benny and Lily. They are having birthdays SOON. Of course when I post the list you will all be more than welcome to use any of them at YOUR pawties. Yep, I'm gonna start right now. 1. PeeMail Scavenger Hunt 2. Gotta go get pencil and paper... see ya

Yikes, that's a lot of water. We feel so badly for all the folks in Tennessee and Kentucky that are flooded. That kind of water scares our Mom because she can't swim.

Glad your boat is OK and hope you can set sail soon.

I should have said that my boat being too far out to get to... IS NOTHING ... COMPARED WITH WHAT THEY ARE HAVING IN THE SOUTH. I really feel bad for those poor folks. My situation doesn't amount to a pimple on a Cat's butt in comPawison. I feel ashamed to have even complained.
The Pawty thingy is something that Benny and Lily are working on with their... Pawty Planners. It is for their upcoming Birthdays.
I just thought I would help them out a bit with a list of Pawty Games that I like or have heard about. Stuffs like Race the Rodents round the RosieBushes. I'll try to have a complete list tomorrow.

Wowza! That sure is crazy! I'm glad your boat is okay, though. How long do you think it will takes for the waters to go back down to normals? Do you have pictures of when the boats were up to the light poles? I bet that was just nuts!

That is disturbing. I hope your boat stays OK until the parking lot is dry again.

I am sooo confused when we have our boats in parking lots here they are on trailers and I could totally see them floating off of that but yours seem to be tied up in a parking lot but I don't see trailers... how does that work? We use different kind of boats for the ocean so I am just curious about what it is supposed to look like... That is a dry parking lot normally right? Then where are the boats supposed to be? I am not so smart about these things but always curious!
