Visitor

This guy came to see me day before yesterday. I don't know his name, beclaws HE doesn't even know it. It is our two leggers that help us learn stuff. He didn't even know how to read peemail the right way. In fact... he actually went over and peed on my blueberry bush that I call Ruby. How darned rude and ignorant is that??? I had to scream for MOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM and have her wash Ruby off.

Then I tried to talk with him. He could not even talk like we all do. I couldn't understand all of this. He had a collar... butt NO tags. He even had ALL of his JUNK in his Trunk. He was all covered with mud and stuff. He WAS very much nice, even though he didn't know anything at all !!!

Mom finally said that I should come in and not encourge him to stay here. She said this poor guy was what is called a Stray/Lost dawg. Then she said that should be a lesson to all of us.

We all need to be SURE that we have our licences on our collar and most important.... we should never ever ever leave our yards... even if it seems fun at the time.

This guy had no way to tell two leggers where he lives. Mom could NOT call the dawg warden, beclaws he does NOT work on Sunday. He may get hit by a car or kept by MEAN two leggers or taken for.... cruel experiments.

I feel very much bad for this guy. When I got up yesterday morning he was gone and has not come back. Poor thingy. Please PAWmise that YOU will never run away from home, even if your mom and dad don't do something you want them to do at the very second you want it to happen. It COULD be worse. STAY SAFE. STAY IN YOUR OWN YARD. OKAY????

You don't haves to worry bout us. Our yard is totally closed in and undiggable. We haves tags and a microchip justs in case. And we are not allowed to go in da front yard without da leash. However, mum isn't too afraids bout somebuddy stealing us...her says they woulds definately brings me back home. What do you suppose her means by that?
Our neighbors are always bringing mum stay dogs cuz they know her is a sucker.
I feel very much sorry fur that guy...I wonders if he ran away from home.

Poor lost mud puppy! Good thing he was friendly. He didn't look too skinny at least, so either he's a good hunter or hasn't been lost for long. Hope he can find his family soon!

Well, I'll admit... I have been very BAD like that before and run out of my Gma's yard and all the way down the street... and this one other time we were in Florida (we don't live there, we were going to move there but then didn't... too much complicated stuff for me to really get into) and I found a hole in the fence and ran down the road there, too. I almost got hit by a truck (according to my mother... but I saw the truck and I would have stopped) but my Mom got to me at the same time and reached down and grabbed me up! She says I'm too fast for my own good. I'm thinking I should start racing!

Hi Frankie,
You are too kind to worry about all of your friends safety! Don't worry, Frankie, I will be extra careful on my walks with mom and dad and I'll try not to run off without them! I do sometimes walk in the woods w/o a leash but I've been a good girl lately. Oh, I'm microchipped too! I don't understand what microchip means but my parents tell me that it helps out a lot. Do you have a microchip thingy?
It's so sad that your visitor doesn't have any tags and it's really sad that he doesn't know his own name! You should ask your mom if he can move in with you! I think he would love a good bath and special meals, don't you? Wouldn't it be fun to have a 4-legged friend to keep you company? He looks like he doesn't have a sense of humor and I'm sure you could get him laughing and enjoying life! Just sayin'....DAISY

That totally scared momma because she says if PeeWee got loose he would be MILES away before he even knew it. We wear our collars with tags and have the microchips, but even so, accidents happen.

I hope that guy is OK.

Poor guy - we hope he found his way home or maybe his humans were out looking for him and found him. We live in a well-guarded compound here but we do have tags and two of us have chips. Ciara will get hers when she is spayed in June.

Nice of you to share your deck with that muddy dude, Frankie.

Poor boy! He was handsome and reminded me of my old pal TeddyNo! He has a big head too. Teddy was also found stray but now he has a home so don't think that was him.
I hope he went back home or that he comes back to see you when the warden is working. You are exactly right about tags and microchips. Mooses has both though there was a little while where he did not have my number on the tag what was I thinking?? Now he does though!

Oh dear, oh dear. That poor guy. I sure hopes he found his way home. My mom and dad have founds doggies like that before that had a collar on but no identification tags. Seems kinda silly to go to the trouble of putting on a collar if you're not gonna put on a tag.

I don't know what in the world I would do if I gots outta our backyard. But one time before I got adopted, Brudder Ranger went with mom and dad to visit our grandma. Well, nobuddy knew it but the fence wasn't closed. And mom was standing in the kitchen and looked up at the front door and there was Ranger, looking in the house, asking to be let in! She almost had a heart even right there!

Anyways, hope he gets home. You were very nice to gives him a place to rest his feetsies for awhile.

Oh I hope your visitor found his home. Momma is always scared that I'll run away but seriously, I go outside for 30 seconds without her and I want to come back in.

Plus If someone tried to steal me I'd bark really loud and the whole town would know. The whole town knows when there is a weird bug on me.

We are hoping that he found his way home too. It is always hard to know what to do when you find a lost dog with no taggies. We are lucky to live where there are LOTS of houses and not a bunch of traffic.

We also would NEVER run away from home...where else would we get pumpkin crunchies every night!!

Oh no, we hope that he was able to go back to his home. We have had a couple of those stray/lost ones come and stay with us, because Dad says Mom is a sucker for puppy dog eyes (though one time she brought a cat! Can you believe that?!?! She is a little loony) and she tries and find them their parents. But Dad says he is also a sucker 'cause he never says no to Mom when she gives him her version of the puppy dog eyes (ours is better).

Hello from Alaska! My first visit to your blog and I hope after what I am about to say it is not my last.... but I say with great respect that if it was me and a muddy, tired and lost dog happened upon my deck I would take temporary custody of the traveller and take him to animal control the next time they open or have the officer come to your house. Anything would be better for this dog than leaving him to just wander off and make up a ridiculous fairy tale about what really happened at your house. It looks pretty clear this poor soul needed help. You had a great opportunity to make a difference and you blew it. You let this dog down, just like his loser owners. Unlike the other commenters I am not going to give you a break on this one. You should have done more.

Poor lost two-tone dog. A week or two ago we had a lost dog in our yard, but she had tags, I called the number on them, and she was home in five minutes.
