SCOUT and AXEL
NOW...BE PREPARED TO BE SCARED..... Just sayin...
LOOK at who came a CALLING.... A Creeping...
A Slithering and a Crawling into OUR Thicket the other day.... After the big 20 acre field (across the road from our driveway) was MOWED... fur cattle feed.
THIS is one of the
So anyway.... mom and dad said.... it was big ENOUGH to be a DANGER to US... so dad got the HOE and moved him around a little, and got him to CURL up into a BALL... then he took him BACK across the Road, to the big field... and OFF our HILL and OUTTA our THINet... which USED to be a THICKet.. before the Beaver Boys came and dad went on that big cutting and burning and cleaning it up... tirade... that is STILL going on.
Now WE were NEVER EVER even CLOSE to this guy.... M & D made US stay IN THE HOUSE until after the RELOCATION was complete. NO MORE SNAKES on our hill.
Pee S.... guess how we knew the snake was even there..... The BIRDS were all setting up a big commotion.... and so dad got out his NOCCULARS... and Spied down into the thicket and he SAW what was causing the ruckus. Now the BIRDS are even happy...
THE END..... By Ernie

Well thank dogness you have have you own birdie alarms !!! It was a bumpy old snake.....and big. Well done on your dad moving it to the other field...we know a lot of peeps would of wanted to kill it - but they do eat a lot of rats and mice and have their part to play in nature. We have our paws crossed for you today and hope everything goes well at the vets
It's a Black Momba!

Be furry careful out there guys!
*shudder*
Good thoughts to Frankie an his eyes!
EEEK....scary! Glad you were safe.
The Florida Furkids
Looks like a big black friendly snake. Mommy always says to run if we see a snake with a triangle head. We've had these in our yard too but Daddy is TERRIFIED of snakes and usually does them bodily harm. So Mom doesn't tell him if she sees a snake in the yard. Now...if they come too close to the house, that's a different ball game. BOL
We'll be thinking about you today, Frankie. Good luck with the eyeball exam, but we have a feeling all will be fine.

Hey Ernst!
Wow, what a cool slithery critter! I always bark and want to bash them. My Mom loves all those kinds of unusual critters. My Dad really doesn't want involved. BOL Anyway, I think that guy is neat and maybe he's just a little bit elderly and looking skinny. Great pix of him either way. I bet the birdies are much happier now!

Lots of prayers for Frankie's eyes. Mom will be up for days now unable to sleep with nightmares about that snake. Snake warnings Frankie, snake warnings. :) So glad you have early alert bird warnings.
The birds are the new watch dogs? Stay away from that ugly thing. All our feets are crossed for you today friend

Wow! Cool! We've never had a critter like that in our yard. Our friend Charlee in Boca Raton Florida (not far from the Everglades)sees big snakes all the time and gigantic iguanas too. Glad your Dad was careful about it.

Strewth that's a super-sized snake for sure... could it have had another snake inside it to make all those 'waves'??? Either way, glad it's gone and you all are safe.
All best with eyes and stuffs. Hgus and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
Oh that was a scary visitor...I'm glad the birds gave your dad a sign.
I will cross my paws for the vet visit... and if you see a running girl... irgnore it, that's just my mom...oh and please don't feed her, she is on a die-t
Good grief Ernie that slithering reptile is about 87' long. Thank goodness your dad had a loooooooog hoe so he didn't have to touch him.
lots of hugs and good luck to your Frankie today
Madi your bfff
We are glad the snake was removed and everyone is safe. Snakes are kind of creepy. We know some live near us but we have never seen them.
OMD!!! That is one loooooong snake guys!! Good things you looked before peein'!! I would have probably just peed on it anyway! BOL
Good job of your peeps in the relocation! I hopes he finds a nice home AWAY from your hill!!
Paws crossed real tight for you Frankie!!!
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
Wow! That is a ginormous snake! My mom would have been screaming like a little girl. We had a snake in our yard the other night. Yours truly found it and even though it was 2:30 a.m., she still hollered really loud. We did not relocate it, except to maybe heaven. We live in the burbs so there is no where to safely move it. Plus, it was a mean snake that could maybe kill us. We introduced ourselves to Blogville today. Please come meet us. Your Basset buddy, Bentley http://www.mkclinton.com
Yay for the birda! We don't like snakies. We've only seen one and Daisy and I, Bella, gave chase...it slithered back into the ravine in quick time. Then we had to help HER recover...'cause it was a VERY venomous BROWN snake.
You have our mom squirming bigtime in her chair! She HATES snakes! We never knew that the birds made lots of commotion. We'll remember that!
Love ya lots♥
Mitch and Molly
SNAKES, SNAKES, like snakes on a plane, RUN BITES RUN Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Crikey and I thought birds were only good for eatin'!!!
OMD, I would have freaked the eff out if I found a snake in or anywhere near my yard.
Oh My! THAT is so scary!!! We would have totally been freaking out! Your Dad is very brave to take care of that critter for you...Mama kinda goes nuts!
OUR mom would have peed her pants...just saying.
