In what seems like the blink of an eye, we of Blogville have lost so many that we hold NEAR and DEAR to our hearts. I have been blogging for a long time and Gracie Lynn, Pip, and Benny were some of our first blogging friends. We have stayed friends through Thick and Thin Good times and Bad. Those of you who are NEW to Blogville are just learning of the Strong BONDS that have been forged here.
Hold your loved ones Close. Show them the LOVE you have for him/her/them EVERY CHANCE YOU GET.
Help them to live EVERY SINGLE Hour of EVERY Day to the FULLEST. WE do not count the time we have together in YEARS... we count it in HOURS... Make the MOST of those hours and they will be full of MARVELOUS MEMORIES that will sustain you for the long haul.
Hug your BELOVED COMPANION(s). Let them have an extra Bite of something they love. Allow them to be on your furniture... they won't be there FOREVER you know. Sleep with them... cuddled Close... they won't take up all that space... in the blink of an eye. Buy him/her/them an extra toy... they don't have as many YEARS to play as WE do. Make the VERY MOST of EVERY HOUR. And don't ever stop Blogging... We Need YOU. YOU help US to OVERCOME and Continue. We of Blogville have Lost ENOUGH... and it HURTS.
Sincerely,
Lana

Oh Lana, thank you so much for putting into words exactly how I feel but can't express. So many friends lost too soon but it helps me to know my Weenie is surrounded with friends. Will the ters ever stop?
The Mommy
Lovely touching post for our sweet Friends who left us too soon
Hugs Madi your bfff
My eyes are teary and I've been hugging Gizmo tight since last night when I heard the sad news...
On the pea shooter front, only hoomins would invent a game that needs a weird tool instead of using perfectly good built-in pea shooters
Beautiful Post Lana, you said it all for us. We all have such a strong bond in Blogville, when I started blogging I never thought that would be possible. I never realized how many good friends I would come to know.I never knew how heart broken I would be when sadly one left us. We have lost 3 in less than a week. Love you all xxxxxxxx
Mollie and Alfie
That is what mom says too ......it is the curse of being human...we live so much longer than everything else...so when we have fur babies we HAVE to make every day special. It has bee back sad week with pip and now Benny and makes us all realize how much we need to give extra cuddles EVERY day
We love how you worded the first part of this post. It was said from the heart and made our mom's eyes water all up because she was sad.
As for the pee-shooter -- now that made Mom's eyes water even more -- butt that time those were happy tears.
Well said Lana. Extra hugs for Bertie today (luckily I am not at work) as we laugh together at Ernie and his pee shooter tribulations.
Cheers,
Gail.
I am so incredibly sad to lose Pip and now Benny. They were two of Sarge's very first friends and I've loved every minute of time sharing their lives. We have had so many laughs together. I will definitely give Sarge extra hugs today and please snuggle F-n-E for me.
OMD Ole Sure Shot is right...thank dawg he used the gun and didn't listen to the boys this time! BOL
Lori
Mama Lana, you said what all of us feel right now. Your postie got my mom all leakified and then she gave us an extra treat. So for THAT especially, I say THANK YOU!
And Frankie and Ernie, don't be embarrassed! I mean, that game was obviously RIGGED. They just wanted to keep all that good loot to themselves. Good thing your dad showed 'em how it's done and didn't let them get one over on you.
I can't wait to see what you all did next!
Wiggles & Wags,
Mayzie
Thank you.

How sweet of you to give the little boy the cars. Very thoughtful.
You say wise words Lana. Very wise.

Your words are so true. Little did we know just one year ago when we started blogging the friendships we would form and treasure always

It is unbelievable that we have lost so many friends in such a short space of time. Lovely post, we will all miss them.

Such beautiful words Lana, you have such a big heart and that was truly touching, it really does sum up what we all are feeling at this very sad time, our Blogville community is such a close knit, loving, caring and supportive community, I love being a part of it but hate to lose my Furiends and see them cross the bridge, but one day it will be my turn too and I will be so happy to be reunited with them all, such fond memories!
Oh that really made me laugh, to see you both thinking what you are going to do, trying to figure out if you could aim your own shooters at the cups and win, poor Ernie looks scared, so worried that he watered that tree instead of using it for amo! Glad to see your Daddy stepped in to show you how it'd done, I mean that gun was bigger than both of you! Great post today, made me cry, made me laugh! Love and Licks from Your Furiend Frank XxxxX
What you said is so true. It's hard losing so many friends.
We're glad your dad is a good shot. Sorry they rigged the game so you guys couldn't win.
Hey, let ME send Bites over, hes full of it and put out a fire from 10 feet!
We Miss Our Frenchie
The Mad Scots
Totally unfair. We think they were afraid you'd clean them out of prizes if you played by your rules.
Nice of you to give the cars to that boy.
XXXOOO Daisy, Bella& Roxy
I, Roxy, think you are VERY brave and handsome, Ernie.
Every word you said Luna is so so so true!!! I am crying for my Zoie and for our friends we lose in Blogville too!!!! I miss every one of them!!!
The cats have ruined my chair. Have made holes in the walls, are so very hard on this old house but they still give us so very much!!! We love them more then words can say. Beautiful post--thank you Luna.
Mr Frankie, we agree. If we share the love we have for our friends it helps through the sad times. We love Blogville for being such a wonderful, caring community.
Sorry you didn't get to shoot but thankdogness your Ol' Sure Shot was a winner! Bet the little boy was happy too! No worries, and love, Stella and Rory
P.S. Ernie mate, don't tell anyone butt I still squat and you can imagine what that looks like, sigh. Slobbers, Rory.
Very well said, furiend :)
Wonderful words Lana. Luckily (for us) our pawrents know what loss feels like so they love us real good. We're all only here for awhile.
Your Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
Sigh...thank you for sharing, your post says it all.
Woofs and Licks,
Maggie Mae and Max
PeeS Mom has promised her will try and get us back in Blogville on a regular basis again. We miss all of you so very much!
Your words today are wonderful. It has been a tough week in Blogville, but our dear departed friends wouldn't want us to be sad for too long.
I love the look on the carnival barkers face when the pups are on the shelf. How sweet that you gave the cars away to a little boy you met.
Cindy, Millie & Walter
It's such a sad time friends
Lily
Oh, Ms. Lana, that is just what all of us are feelin'. Our hearts are heavy and our eyes are leakin', and the good news is Ma gave me extra treaties today. She said I can go back on my diet tomorrows. Today, I gets extras in Benny and Pips honor.
See, they are still lookin' out for us!! BOL
Wowsa!! I thinks you guys would have to drinks like 87 thousand bowls of waters to hit those targets!!! BOL
Good things your Pops was there to shoot the gun and win those fancy schmancy cars!!!
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
As I just said to you in an email, you have the most amazing way with words Lana.
Frankie & Ernie, why would a boy dog need a gun? Wasn't your dad allowed to use his pee shooter either? Very confusing.
Nubbin wiggles,
Oskar (Pam too)
My peep, he always looks for games like that when he goes to fairs, but they mustn't be allowed to have them here in Australia any more...
It really does hurt to lose a Blogville friend. Even though I've never met any of my online friends in person, they've had such an impact on me. Thank you for saying what I could never express as brilliantly as you have.
