Our Garden is getting along QUITE well NOW... it did NOT get any damage from the derecho.
The Front Row is Mom's Parsley....
Behind the Cabbage is Dad's ONION FIELD... BaaaaWaaaah
He planted 87,000 of them... when they are BIG and Dried ... mom will cut them up and freeze them fur next winter.. ... It would be a CRYING SHAME if we didn't have THOSE fur Winter foods. OH and see the cabbages??? When they are HOOOGE they get cut up and frozen fur winter, too.
THESE are our TOMATOES.... they get made into home made V-8 juice by mom... she puts in PARSLEY and the CORES from the Cabbages and some Onion and Garlic and Green Pepper PLUS carrots and celery (which we do NOT grow). THAT makes 8 thingys and it is delicious fur soups stews pastas and just plain DRINKING.
THE one INCH of rain we got really did HELP... We now have tomatoes the size of TENNIS BALLS... Soft ball size cabbage heads... and OH the green Peppers are starting to bloom... When we have a BUNCH of those ready mom Chops and freezes them also. MORE garden tomorrow...
BUTT FURST...... we hope that you are getting your pix about anythingy to do with YOU and WATER ready to send to SARGE fur his big Contest... There will be a PRIZE.. worth like $24.87 or more.

Your mum is so clever with all that produce Frankie. We are sadly lacking sun again so nothing is growing properly over here. Our paws are crossed for Benny. We are thinking of them. Have a super Saturday.
Best wishes Molly

Momz sez to tell you how much she loves your Garden...She wishes we could do something like that here but she's got a black thumb...
Your mom and dad's garden make me think you grow all the ingredients for one of my mum's favorite recipes "Harvest Tomato Sauce" (you can use green peppers instead of red and change the herbs. It is so simple to make and he house smells wonderful when mum cooks this! Try it sometime if you have too many vegetables.
