So fur TWO Days I have been showing and tellin you all about all the Fun we had at Sarge's House... where we Celebrated ERNIE's FURST BIRFDAY and Sarge's Birfday and the Crabby Girrrrrls' Birfdays and Stan and Lori's Birfdays.   WELL, let me tell you that WE were not the ONLY ones who came to SARGE's Pawty Day...
See this is how it was...   We Celebrated Ernie's FURST BIRFDAY the FURST day we were there.. and on the SECOND day we sat around and decided to Celebrate Sarge's Birfday. that day.   And Sarge seems to have invited a SURPRISE Guest...
We were sitting around tawkin and swoppin Stories and Re-Living the exciting Blogville Olympics.. when Ol' Sure Shot (who never misses much) said... Hey LORI... Look who is here on the deck.  (NOTE:  THAT deck is up about 17 feet from the ground...   AND there are NO Steps.. the only way to get there is THROUGH the HOUSE...)   UNLESS....
    You are a ......    SNAKE !!!
He Slithered Right up the SIDE of the HOUSE and onto the Deck Behind the folding Chaise Lounge.  And he was just LOOKIN at MY DAD.
He didn't have an INVITATION or Nothin.   He just CRASHED the PAWTY...   Or so SARGE said.
So Dad and Lori .... CAREFULLY Shoooooooooooed him to the edge and BACK DOWN he went.     I guess he didn't feel welcome since he didn't get offered a chance to play PAWty Games and NO   I Scream either.
See how HIGH UP the deck is??  It is WAY up over half way to the TOP of the really TALL TREES.
I am glad that he Left... beclaws I was afraid that he might EAT Ernie..   I mean the thingy was like 87 feet long... Almost.

What type of snakey is it? Moms keeps snakeys around, too. She says, "They eat the spiders and we like the spiders even less than the snakes."

Mom is afeered of trains, spiders and clowns. I know, she is weird. >_<

BTW, used less white vinegar and Reed is happy, my cans are happy and I'm happy! :) You rock!!

You know what? I bet the tree rats are responsible for this! Yep. I bets they hoisted Mr. Snake all the way up the trees and then THREW him over on to your deck to watch you guys squeal and stuffs. But I guess YOU showed THEM, huh? Haha!

Happy, happy birthday to EVERYBUDDY in your family that has birthdays right now!

The ambulance would have had to come and get my mom if she would have seen that snake on the she is worrying that a snake could crawl onto our back porch cos it is not sealed tight, and then crawl into our house...she is looking in the yellow pages for "snakebusters' who will come to the house...thank you very we have to live with her insanity all weekend long!
It Does look like you had great parties though..that is what I was focusing on and not the snake....

Our mom doesn't get rattled by much at all. But snakes? Yep. Snakes'll do it. CANNOT. Abide. Them.
Slap some legs on them and call them lizards or salamanders, and she's fine.

OMG I didn't know they could slither up the sides of a house! Did you scream like a girl? I would have.

GOOSE said...

You are brave to just shooooe him back to where he came from. But really who shows up to a pawty without a gift.

Casey said...

I would like to say that I would've liked to read your whole post. When as soon as the slithery thingy showed up, Momma started making funny high-pitched noises and scrolled past real quick. So... sorry. She's really afraid of those things, even in pictures!

Ruby said...

Yikes! I would have barked, and jip & jabbed him, he would have gone on his own....I can be REALLY annoying!

yikes! Jan is now paranoid about going outside in flip flops. She takes us woofies out in the back yard in the dark at night. But this morning she almost stepped on a baby snake slithering through the dirt to find grass to hide in. She figures, baby = mom and dad somewhere. Ugh! said...

Oh my dog! How scary!

Glad you had Sarge there to protect you guys (especially little Ernie!)

Sally Ann and Andy said...

Wow, that is scary! Mommy does not like snakes. It was a good thing Sarge prevented him from eating little Ernie.

Wow, we are really nervous about snakes here since Dougal got bit by a rattlesnake last week. Our snakes are very dangerous and a bite can kill one of us dogs. IS that a poisonous snake/ I am glad you are all ok. ohhh creepy

Happy Birthday to Sarge, Ernie, Crabbys and Lori and Stan...Gosh that must have been a REALLY big cake, like 87 feet long!
Snakes are dumb, why would they think they were invited to the party?

OMD, I would have freaked out if I saw that snake on my (imaginary, since I don't actually have one!) deck, or even anywhere near my house.

I'm glad you were able to get rid of him without anyone getting bit.
