Moms are better at serving dindin because it's usually their department. Cut your dad some slack. He's tryin' his best, guys! You won't starve - honest! Mom told us to say that!
Maybe you need to sing faster? I'm not sure how to fix your peep but keep working on it. Do you treat him when he gives you supper quickly? If you treat him he might speed up!

You should hear our mum singing as she MAKES our supper. It makes us start screaming and barking.
