Home Schooling....

hehehe.... being a Home School Teacher DOES have a couple of grrreat thingys about it. BUTT... it is NOT all Fun and Games ...

I (Frankie Furter have been Bizzy Teachin my Buddy Ernie all the stuffs he needs to know.. I am teachin him at HOME and that is called Home Schooling. Let me tell you... This Teachin a Home Schooler is NOT easy. I gotta be constantly on top of stuffs... Like the day he brought in THIS TREASURE... and I had to teach him all about what a RABBIT was and that THIS was what was LEFT once a Rabbit Tried to cross the Road... THEN I made it a REAL Teachable moment by explainin to Ernie... that it could happen to HIM too... if he goes NEAR the road!!!
THEN there was the day when I had to teach Ernie NOT to chew on dangerous stuff and ALSO not to be destructive... SEE what he did to MY Home Again Safety tag?? Mom had to spend MANY green papers to get us BOTH new ones... THAT are Stainless STEEL.. Then she said NO TREATS fur like 87 hours... beclaws of THAT episode.. I had to have a LONG tawk with Ernie about Never causing us to be without treats again. Home School Teaching is VERY much hard.
See what he did? Right while I was wearin my collar and havin Nap Time Practice... butt as you can tell Ernie was not as good at THAT Practice as he Should have been. He HAS since learned how to do a Nap... pawperly.
This is a pic of one of my Nap Training Lessons from way back when he was still a pup.
Thank Dawgness he is payin MORE attention to his teacher (Frankie Furter) now. Butt since he will only be 7 MONTHS old next week... I realize that there are a LOT of Home Schoolin Lessons in his future. Sheesh... I guess when I asked fur my Own PUPPY.. I didn't realize I would have all this Teachin to do. AND... let me say.... Other than that PERK up at the Top.... teachers are WAY Under Paid. I'm just sayin. Now about this.. OOOOOPS... HEY ERNIE... You are NOT supposed to put a stuffie in our WATER BOWL... Oh DAWG, I gotta go... I see I need to pawpare another Lesson..

Wow Frankie, I didn't think home schooling would be that hard either! You are doing a GREAT job teaching Ernie all the important things in life. Ernie will soon learn that having no treaties for like 87 hours is a killer.....

Loved this post, Frankie, partly because I'm a teacher who knows for herself that teaching is a lot of work and the $ we get for all of our hard work is not enough to pay the bills BUT the rewards are priceless. And do you know what was so priceless about today's post? Your pictures! Precious! Keep up the good work, Frankie!

Holy moly! It's a darned good thing he has a teacher like you to keep him off the streets (that was a BIG yuckie he brought in!) and stop him from chewing bad stuff. Oh, these kids today...

Well, Frankie, they do say a teacher's work is never done, or is that a parent's work is never done? In any event, you do have a tough job but the rewards of a good little pup student are immeasurable - hope Ernie makes the honor roll this semester.

Is it almost time for summer vacation? BOL

Wowzers, are you a good teacher!! The first thing my sisters taught me when I got here was to SIT for treats. I was lots older than Ernie (maybe 1.5 yrs. ) but had tons to learn. I sat and was told I was a GOOD BOY (I'd never heard that before!) and got a treat. 5 months later, Dave got here (he was about 4 yrs old) and I taught him to sit, too. I hope you teach Ernie to sit for treats.

You're a good big brother, Frankie. Ernie is learning from the best. Just remember, any time you feel like teaching is a lot of work, that the rewards are always worth it.

Stop on by sometime!

We totally agree. There are two of us, and we have such a time with Roxy...we're beginning to think she's 'special' or just ignores us.

Mr Frankie, I know just what you mean. I too have to teach Rory all about life but mum says sometimes I teach him things that aren't quite correct. I say I do it my way because I am two months older than Rory and I learnt a lot in that time. Keep up the grrreat work. No worries, and love, Stella and Little Rory hehehe.

Sounds like you have your paws full with all that teachin', Frankie! Ernie is getting the best education from you.

Maybe you could teach me too and then I could save all that $$ I would have otherwise spent on college?

I didn't has anyone to home school me, well, Dixie, mebbe, but she woz a slacker teacher. So I made mom's eyeglasses look like Ernie made your tags look. Not once, no, THREE times. And I made 12 remote controls look like that too. But I nefur efur crossed a road by myself. Well, eggsept fur one time but I woz following Dixie. See wot a bad teacher she woz?

I think you are doing a fabulous job! It took me YEARS to learn not to chew on things like tags, shoes, cat toys, eye glasses etc. If only, I had a big brother like you to show me the way - maybe my mom would even have more money in savings now cause she wouldn't have had to spend so much on new eye glasses and shoes.

Your pal, Pip

P.S.: I really did have a fondness for eye glasses and shoes. Bawhahahaha!

Wow Frankie. Home schooling seems to be really hard but I can see that you really have it ALL under control my friend!!!!:) It is great to see you leading the way. I could never do that given that I am a pug and actually support chewing and destroying and picking up random isssh.

:):) LOVE IT!
