I tried my bestest to tell Ernie how to jump this thingy.I encouraged him with lots of super Cheerleader type Words... Like ERNIE... you could earn a Q if you learn this stuffs. Butt he didn't seem interested in gettin a Q when there were all those dawgs to look at and Sniff.
Butt as you can see...
he just didn't get the idea.
Not EVEN when I took him back around again ...
I guess I am gonna have to come to the realization that Ernie
is an UNDER achiever.
BUTT somethingy DID happen when we were gettin ready to leave... we were almost back to Jennifer when we spied... somebuddy's very much special BLUE RIBBON.. that they had lost. I told dad that he and I would go on to get Jennifer and then I sent Mom and Ernie BACK inside to take the lost Ribbon to the Desk where they give them out. I am glad that we found it and that it didn't get run over in the barking lot or stuffs. Somebuddy would be Cryin fur sure if that had happened.

It's very good that you found that. I guess someone is very proud of their blue ribbon and hope they will be reunited with it.
Have a great day.

Frankie, you has to remembers Ernie is stills just a little one BUT he STILL be a doxie and he's will eventually becomes dat stubborn little doxie dat won't lets nuttin hold hims back. You mark my words, oneday he'll lets nuttin get in his way.
I sooooo would has kepted dat ribbon and told everybuddy I won it...hehehehe. But you is a betters dog than me so it was nice you tooks returned it.
Puddles
Awwww, we bet Ernie will eventually get the hang of those jumpy things. It's just so exciting all those sniffies around to distract him. Mummy gets so easily distracted too! We have to keep on with the training though and eventually they will get there :)xx
Poor Ernie! Everybody can't be a superstar I guess! Thank goodness you found that ribbon and turned it in so the ones who lost it can get it back! :)
Maybe Ernie is starting a new trend of going under the bars. You never know. He may be a forward-looking doggy!
Nice catch with the ribbon - you most likely made someone very happy!
Ernie, even though you do have actual legs (unlike Frankie) I still think that jump is too high for you.
Slobbers,
Mango
Maybe enter him for limbo dancing.....?
Hey Frankie!
Wow, I don't know, but that jump looks awefully high to me. Maybe he didn't see it! BWAR HAR HAR. Ahem. Anyway, I'm sure he'll do better next time. Very sweet of you to be sure someone got their hard-earned ribbon back.
BTW: I like Bertie's limbo idea!
Grr and Woof,
Sarge, COP
Hi Frankie - I don't think you should push Ernie and his little legs to jumps over all that tall stuffs....some pups are built for ground work....we are all not those show off Border Collie's huh??!
You asked about the blue stuffs. I'm not great at co-operatin' with ma and her tryin' to put that stuffs on my back toof pegs. By the time she wrenches my jaws apart, the blue drop is runnin' down her fingers already...so it's not the best situation. But, we are persisten because the very back toofs of mine are lookin' a little yella, and mum would like them to go white again. We'll keep ya posted!!
Tail Wuggles, Rubie
Yup, that jump is real high for a little pup like you. I'm with Mango!
Limbo dancing might be in your future! Start a new competition for dogs!
Maybe teh bar was set a little to high for Ernie, just because you being the bigger dog and all could do it, doesn't mean the itty bitty Ernie can. Try making it lower next time and see if he doesn't do better.
Bertie stole my idea. I was going to suggest a new obstacle for the agility course be a limbo bar so instead of jumping over it the dog has to crawl under without knocking the bar down. Ernie just invented it!
Cindy
Others have said it already but all we could think was that he really just wanted to do the limbo.
Woos - Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning
Frankie are you sure Ernie even saw the jump?? It was sort of up there all towering above him. Two gold paws up for you turning in the ribbon.
Blessings,
Goose
Oh Frankie, Ernie is NOT an under-achiever, he's just doing the Limbo! How low can you go Ernie?
Good job on returning the lost ribbon! Hope you got an extra treatie for that good deed.
Hugs,
Lily Belle
That was so nice that you returned the lost ribbon....someone will be VERY happy! You guys rock!
Umm...isn't that too tall for little Ernie to be able to jump?
That was very nice of you to return that ribbon. But ribbons? Really? don't they know that bones are the best prizes?
xoxo,
Nora
You guys are really good guys Frankie and Ernie turning in that blue ribbon you found. You made some furs happy!!!
Zoie got her first kill last night at 5 this morning in the very dark!!!
You were very supportive of Ernie. Katy and Bailey were not impressed with the jumps when they had a chance to try them at a fundraiser last year.
Frankie...Frankie...Frankie...How soon you furget. Ernie is a Weenie after all and Weenies don't jump...dey go under instead! So me tinks Ernie did just fine!
Ernie did grrreat at the limbo! He has the right idea in my opinion!
Rooooo!
Douglas
Wow, you guys are like detectives! That's cool that you found the ribbon!
Agility ... well, maybe Ernie just isn't ready!
Play bows,
Zim
Ernie is an underachiever not and overachiever. He knows the importance of keeping ones paws situated on the ground.
Sweet William The Scot
Awww, no biggie that you can't jump over those things. As big as I am, I doubt I'd wanna jump over them too!
Missed you both -- glad to see you're OK!! :)
Woofs & hugs, <3
~Bailey (Yep, I'm a girl!)
Good job Frankie!
Dachshund Nola
We NEVER jump over anything we can go under. Why spend the energy?? Butt, we'd love to see a photo of YOU, (Frankie Further) jumpin' over that thingy... Just sayin'.
-Bart and Ruby
That was nice of you to turn in the blue ribbon. Good thing it was all in one piece.
Well, Ernie just doesn't seem to have the same goals you do, Frankie.
The 'barking lot'...BOL!!!!!!!
At least Ernie knowed he did not win that blue ribbon by unner achieving and put his teef marks on it to claim it or nuttin. You know, I would nefur jump the hurdles in obedience class either but you seen me jump ofur logs and stuffs. Hurdles just is not natural so I cannot blame Ernie fur not jumping ofur.
Go Ernie!!! We're UNDER achievers, too.
Whoever lost that blue ribbon is lucky you found it and returned it!
XXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
Oh my! It is a good thing you saved the ribbon! Ernie seems more of the hunting type!
Licks,
Ruthie
Gosh Mr. Frankie, what a good thing that you found that impawtant ribbon! And boy, those jumping things are high, espeshully for a boy with shorter leggys like Mr. Puppy Ernie. But I bet he will get the idea soon enuff, because you are teaching him!
Luvs,
Jackie
Bol! Oh Frankie, I loves the sniffing too.. but sometimes I do good and pay complete attention to my daddies..
Keep him practicing :D
xo
Luna
Ha Ha Under achiever......I get it. Glad you took the ribbon back. Maybe it was for someone you know and now they are happy cause they got it.
Awww....he might just be a little young still. I bet he will do it eventually!!
wags
Jazzi and Addy
Ernie's still young! If he wants to be an agility star when he grows up, I bet that's just what he'll do!
Good thing you found that ribbon so somebody wasn't left feeling blue!
Bunny
they should lower the pole to laying on the ground. Its too high, BOL
Benny & Lily
Mr Frankie, you are a great teacher but Little Ernie is still young and learning. That was a pretty high jump too. It was lovely of you to take the ribbon back cause like you said, someone might have had a good cry when they realised they dropped their ribbon. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory
Well, just between you and me, I think the bar was set a little high..... but for a cookie, I say go for it!
