Pics of the Mystery Bird

Mom had to use the zoomie thing to get any of these. See the dark patch on her forhead? Her wings and tail have a bit of red in them. Not nearly as bright as her crest.
Her beak is kind of orange.

She was eating a seed.

It took mom about 87 pics to finally catch some good shots of the bird she was wondering about. She now says it is for sure a Female Cardinal... BUTT NOT LIKE ANY OTHER SHE HAS EVER SEEN. It even has a couple white places on its wings and side.
Soooo, now that you have seen the pics what do you think? Any ideas as to how or why she is marked the way she is???? Mom thinks she is BEAUTIFUL.
I was told that I was NOT to put this part in... BUTT I am going to anyway beclaws I am in a bad mood about the weather. I (Frankie Furter) think it is beclaws of that Al Gore guy with his lies about global warming... the rat bastard.
Mango was the first to "guess correctly" that it was a female cardinal.... sooooo

Congratualtions my Furend MANGO... you have won the First (and only) prize. A whole ton of

Fresh clean .... SNOW.. I would have given you something else... butt Snow Snow and more Snow is all I have to offer at the moment. Sorry buddy.

Now... since I seem to have somehow become my mom's secretary... she wanted me to tell you what the Old Farmer's 2010 Almanac has to say for MY part of the country. )
Jan 2010: AverageTemp. 29 degrees, 2 Degrees ABOVE average (THAT'S A BUNCH OF TURKEY TURDS) For the 6th.-12th... Snow showers, very cold. (Yeah, right. I have patch after patch of Yellow flurries in my fenced area.) Let me tell you this... those "flurries" were coming down at a rate of an inch an hour yesterday afternoon and evening! Well, they did get the cold right for these days.
I'm thinking of peeing on that stupid book. Seeeee, I told you I was in a bad weather mood.
PeeS. If mom finds out that I said that Rat B. thingy I'll probably be back in my brig for another 87 centuries. I think it JUST might be worth it, though.

(Note from Mom and Morgan - Mango can KEEP IT!)

Hi Franky,

Could you please have another contest so we could win some snow?

Cute post as always.

Riley and Star.

Yes, a female cardinal indeed. Good thing - if we would have won that snow it may have been enough to completely bury us, seeing as we are getting buried as it is!!

For Riley and Starr, I don't know if you have SNOW TIRES for your Maltesemobile. Does it have 4 wheel drive??? You would need both.

I hope you mean Mango Minor because I totally didn't even guess, right?

Regarding Khyra's comments on my bloggy. I have no idea what she is talking about either, but it sounds good.

I'm glad I didn't win that snow! We've already got tons of it here! It already comes up to my belly!

She might be colored like that because she hasn't completely gotten her adult feathers in or she might have been ill.

The bird pics are pretty- our MOM loves cardinals, just like her mom does.

We got four inches of the snow stuff last night and are supposed to get 6 to 10 more inches. We thought the weatherman was supposed to be wrong all the time- he has been right about the snow we get. What is up with that?

Jazzi said...

We got nother 5 inches yesterday so we can share with anyone who wants it just give me a hollar and it is in the mail.

We dont agree with the Gore guy, and he is NO where to be found at the moment of the coldest winter on record ummm funny huh??

Hey, if I mail all my snow away, then I wont have to work!! Ummm...(see my blog)

Hi Frankie

First we would like to say that is a pretty bird, we don't really know about birds other than if your a cat they are fun to watch.

And the global warming thing though doesn't mean that the weather will always be warmer, it means that our weather patterns are changing which we think this weather is proving it,as for Al Gore though, we think the whole rat b thing is the right way to describe him, he should try practicing what he preaches.
So tell your mom not to be mad about the rat b thing, sometimes a dog has to say what he really thinks.

I'm glad the mystery has been solved. To me, a bird is something to chase. I get lots of exercise that way. We have an aviary in our back yard, and tons of seed fall out. Well, all the neighborhood birds know it and visit us for a feast. That's when the fun begins. I'm not going to mention the thing that will get you into trouble, in case your momma checks comments, okay? Shhh...Just lie low and stay warm (I too would want to "tinkle" on that book).
