Normally, I would say it is a ladle for the kitchen, but I've recently read about some weird humans using such a thing to catch dog pee. I don't know what is up with that.

We think our dad would use it for a pooper scooper if he scooped poop which he never does cos our mom is the pooper scooper of the house. Bet you can't say that 3 times.

I know what our vet techs use it for ... !!! Our mom uses a little plastic bowl.
My great-brother Davy told me that one day he was at the vet's, and the vet sent him and Mom outside with one of the students and one of those ladles. Mom told the student that once he got what he was after, he should get it away from Davy as quickly as he could. Being a student and not yet FULLY trained, he didn't quite retract it fast enough, and my Davy kicked it right out of his hand. When it was full. Ha roo woo roo!!! Mom warned him! (And yes, the student got splashed, but Mom didn't.) Just something for you to try out. :)

Ladles are for serving soup and pasta. Mom uses hers all the time!
Our peeps use a ladle but never give us stuff from it, so it is useless.

Yuppers! A pee catcher! BOL!!! Our vettie gave Ma a dish-on-a-stick for that! Butts I held it for like SIX HOURS so Ma couldn't steal my pees and gives it to the vettie! What do they wants with our pees anyhu??! I thinks it's some evil squirrel plot!

Hi there Frankie & Ernie!! We aren't usually good at guessing games, but we think we have this one. Half the blog-dogs seem correct on their guesses. We say that that ladle thingy is a fresh pee catcher. Yep. We've seen such implements used on us just before going to our vet! We hope you both are feeling okay.
