Pupdate on Ernie...

Here we are going to the VET. I was thinkin about what I was gonna tell my boy. This is Us gettin ready to go fur a quick pee before we went in.
Here we are gettin ready to go in... OK Sure Shot you can open the furst door now.
This way Ernie...
My heartstrings were feelin as TUGGED as a good Rope toy.
OK.... now THAT is what you will be wearin when you come home, Ernie. It was MINE so it will keep your stitches safe... I trained it well.
See? It won't hurt you. It is called the Cone of Shame. Butt you and I will rename it to the cone of FAME, OK? NOTE: the bottle of blue stuffs is somethingy I will be telling you about Tomorrow..
I got Ernie's Coat off and he was kinda Embarrassed about bein Nekkid in front of my Doctor's Helper Girrrrl. I told him that it was OK and that she was used to nekkidness and stuffs.
So then I took a second to get my thoughts together....

Ummmmm Ernie you are gonna be FINE.. butt you do need to have this surgery stuffs.. It will make thingys MUCH better fur you... in the future. I have had this stuffs taken care of and look how happy I am.
Now don't you Worry... I have talked to OUR Doctor and He knows how special you are and he PAWMISED me that he would take very much grrrrreat care of you. Don't be sad or scared. It will go by soooooo speedy quick... like POOOF and then.....
You will be Right back with ME. I Pawmise that I will take good care of you. We have to be very much careful of your little front legs.. butt MOM will take your pretty purple bandages off (Tonight)...
Don't be SAD.... the worst pawt is OVER...
Think about the stuffs I told you about this being your BIG BOY Day.
YES!!! I knew you would like hearing THAT...
This is what Ernie looked like on his way HOME.... That is a weird Sun Stripe there over his shoulder.
Here is my sweet BIG BOY... Resting Easy... HERE on OUR HILL.
My mom fixed the Cone of FAME so that we can get it on and off Easily.. fur Ernie to Eat and Drink and Potty Easily. He is really being Wonderful about not bothering his stitches and stuffs. I am so proud of him.
On the 28th. he will go back to have the stitches taken out.
BUTT.... My Dr. Husty did call me yesterday... to check on Ernie and he said that if the biopsy report comes back sooner.... he will call me right away to talk about it. I just wish I knew ALREADY.
Please PLEASE keep your Paws Crossed fur Puddles and Albert... they BOTH have really bad Poop Shooter troubles now... and fur our furend Lily who had to have surgery too.

Ya know, this poop shooter thing is really going around! Puddles' family, our family, now yours... And we don't even live near each other!

Take care of yourselves. Your poopers will be better soon, and we know your biopsy will come back NEGATIV-O!

By the way, Ernie, cone or no cone, you're still a little cutie!

Oh Frankie, if only everyone had such loving support when they went in for surgery. As I've said before, Ernie is such a lucky week chappie.
Paws crossed for when the biopsy report comes in.

Sweet little Ernie. Too cute. You are very brave brave little fella.

Rubie said...

Hi Frankie - gosh you gave the little fella lots of moral support goin' through the v-e-t thingy. Tell your ma that when mine cut-down the cone a bit - like just an inch and a half all the way round it was MUCH easier to walk and eat and sniff and stuff. It looks very similar to my cone of fame.

Heal quick little Ernie!!

Ernie was such a good patient! He didn't poop on your mom in the car, or nothin (unlike some doxins we know).

I can tell he is gonna be good to go in no time. And don't be worrying yourself bout his medical sniffer thinks it will be fine. (who knew I had a medical sniffer?!)

Poor Ernie, I hated it when Sampson had to wear the cone of shame. It was way too big for him and he bumped into the wall. I took it off him as soon as we got in the car.

Sampson was a good boy and only licked at his stitches once, I told him to "leave it" and he did. I hope Ernie recovers real soon.
