Ernie is HOME...

He is kinda Cranky and Sore and stuffs...

He had Half of his supper and a little tiny drink.. butt it is very much Difficult what with wearing the Cone of Shame.

He is trying to learn to hold his CHIN UP when he walks with it.. and How to STEER with the stupid thing on. He bumped into the Chair and didn't know how to go in REVERSE.. Butt I didn't laff or nothin. I tried to show him butt I guess it is very much hard to see through the cone.

Dr. Husty says that he came through the Procedures Just FINE.
Then he explained that the BUMP could be Any of these thingys:
An Insect or Spider bite that just did not spread and dissipate through his system.
One of his BABY puppy shots that did not disperse.
A Fat deposit.
OR
A Tumor... which could be EITHER Benign or Malignant .
We will have a Full ANSWER in 10 days when the biopsy comes back.
He did NOT need to pull any puppy teefs.. at least not yet. That may need to happen Later if they don't come out on their own.

Right now I am going to go lay down with Ernie beclaws he is in my OLD Office and he is crying fur me.
NO Playing and ruff stuffs fur like SEVEN days.

I am just glad to have him home. It makes us ALL happy.

So glad he's home and hope the bump is nothing serious. Maybe you could try getting an inflatable E collar for him, that way he can see eat drink and sleep comfortably and not chew his stitches. I had one

Once again, we are happy for you and Ernie that things are pretty good. It must be so hard to walk with that cone and little legs. Maybe he would do OK with one of those bite-not collars if they come that small. We hope the bump is just the bug bite or puppy shot not dispersed. But if it is a tumor, at least it was discovered very early.

Please give the little guy a few snooter smoochies from us.

Oh My, We are so glad little Ernie is home now. It is quite worrisome waiting a whole 10 days to find out the reults though. But he is so lucky to have you take care of him.

I didn't know they made those collars small enough for a little guy like Ernie.

Give him a doggy hug for me, please

We are sending our best wishes to Ernie and to all of you while you await the results. We'll keep our paws crossed. And Ernie will master the Cone in no time, just like you did. Trust Jed on this; he's a Master of the Cone by this time. He goes back for his third surgery on the same leg next week, then back into the Cone for weeks and weeks.

That's great news! Jett was like that after all the nasty bumps were removed too, and it took 3 weeks for her results to come in. I hope it isn't anything nasty. Paws crossed that everything goes well!

That is great that Ernie is home. We have our paws crossed the lump results come back all OK. My own wee pup, Enzo, knows a bit how Ernie is feeling as yesterday he went for his boys op too. He doesn't have to wear the cone of shame (mum has been watching him to make sure he doesn't lick his stiches), but we are not allowed to play fight together for a while. Our vet also said instead of the cone Enzo (a golden retriever), could wear a pair of mum's leggings/tights with the legs rolled up (that would look so funny) to stop him licking things - but I guess Ernie would get lost in human sized clothing.

Riley
