Two Moons???????

I have my NameGame story Pre-Posted. Butt, it's kinda BOOOOOOORRRRRRing.
Hey everybuddy (butt most especially our Lunar expert, Remington),

Have you heard anything about this thingy???? I got an email about it from my Furend Barney who lives in Australia. There was a Pretend picture of what it is supposed to look like, butt since it was just pretend I didn't copy and paste that part.
So do you think this is FOR REAL???

27th Aug the Whole World is waiting for.............

Planet Mars will be the brightest in the night sky starting August. It will look as large as the full moon to the naked eye. This will cultivate on Aug. 27 when Mars comes within 34.65M miles off earth. Be sure to watch the sky on Aug. 27 12:30 am. It will look like the earth has 2 moons.

The next time Mars may come this close is in 2287.

Share this with your friends as NO ONE ALIVE TODAY will ever see it again.

Mars is brighter then, but I don't know that it will look as big as the moon. I'll have to look that up! I admit to being really curious now!

Hate to tell you Frankie, but I think we fell for that about 5 years ago. We all went out to the planitarium and nearly froze only to find out that it had happened two years previously. We did get to see some other interesting things.

Sort of true - Mars did make a very close approach to earth August 27, 2003 - so the August part is right. And the part about being as big as the moon - well, was the brightest object "next to the moon".

Good part is it is a very cool event. And you get to see similar events every few years as Mars gets close to us (though true that the next event as close as 2003 is 2287 - but doubt most of us mere mortals would notice the difference between the bright Mars in the sky every couple of years).

All you need to know -

Okay, I can't imagines that with a name like Frankie Furter that how you got named is boring. I haves to admit that how we got named, though, is kinda boring. But we're still gonna play. I just hopes nobuddy falls asleep. BOL! I bet some doggies and kittehs will have the bestest stories!

2287? Really? Kinda ironic for you huh? All these stellar events are never quite as cool as they are cracked up to be, but if we're up late that night, it's certainly worth a look-see!

If that is true, or even kinda true, it might be a loverly date fur a wedding!

Thinks of the possibilities....two moons, two brides(??) two hearts etc etc

Just food fur thought,

Hi Frankie,
Just thought I would pop in and say Howdy.

We'll be camping on the shore of Lake Superior where the sky is crystal clear. I'll make sure to watch the sky on the 27th. and report back.

Have a good one.

Hi Frankie,
this is going to be just a little strange, maybe this moon thing is happening on the night of the 27th August, in Australia, but at that time it will be the afternoon of the 26th In your part of the world, Maybe that is why some of your friends are not quite sure, Most of the funny things that happen way up in the sky are often only able to be seen when your in my country, very clear skies in the land down under way in the middle of my country, no lights or anything, many people from all over the world, come downunder to look into the night sky, to me the sky is the sky, but the stars are pretty.
A good excuse if we want to do things on that day, our Moms will not get cross with us.
I like that idea, but my Mom will not see it, as she will be in your country. She is looking forward to seeing you and your humans again.
Wish I could be there for the wedding, my Mom is going to your country for the wedding of a human.
But they are mostly all the same, now yours would be fun.
Take care
Your Mate from downunder
Barney Baker, now that is almost as good a name as Frankie Furter. its all real and everything, on my tags and license.
Even on my micro chip
