Robert B. Parker was one of my mom's favorite authors. He passed away while sitting at his desk doing what he did best... writing. He wrote the Jesse Stone and Spencer books. In the Spencer series one of the best characters was HAWK . So I thought I would put in a couple of pictures of MY hawk in honor of Mr. Parker.

What a gorgeous picture of your Hawk! We will have to show our Dad those pics - he loves to see hawks and eagles!

very beautiful post!
We started seeing hawks here a few years ago - a welcome sight. Ours are pretty big, perch on top of some of the neighboring houses (and I thought pigeon poop made a mess, you ought to see what a hawk can leave on a roof!!). Mom always says I should be careful, that the hawk might think I'm a bunny & try to make me their lunch! It would take a pretty big bird to fly away with my 25 lbs, but I keep an eye on the sky just in case!!

That is quite the hawk Frankie. Be careful he doesn't take you home for lunch.

I just caught that news myself, such a bummer...
Hi Frankie
Nice hawk, we have to admit we watch hawks very closely when they are around they are birds of prey. Although they are kinda pretty. we even saw eagles every now and them.
That's a beautiful tribute post to Mr. Parker.

Sorry about the loss of your mom's favorite writer. This is a nice tribute to him.
Nice pictures of your hawk!
Mom said she hopes that she passes away like Mr. Parker did, doing what she loves. We're glad he had a peaceful passing, but he'll be missed!

Great, a hawk! As if it wasn't enough that we're mixing k9s with katz in our blogs, now we're bird watching. The circle of life. Ha ha. Can't wait to hear about the package.
